I've never seen that as a valid argument. I don't see how losing a chance to win a trophy can really be seen as a good thing. As the triple champions we should be looking to win everything, and all ready this season we have failed to win an available trophy. You can call me greedy but I just think having an attitude of losing can be looked upon as a good thing is the wrong attitude IMO.

Yep, your point is valid. Who's to say if we'd have had a better cup run the past 3 years.

But this year, with the team we've got, we should surely be looking to win both.

But worst case scenario, i'd take a 4th consequtive GF win over the CC any day.

In the early part of the season i'd have agreed with bloodbath.

But we lost so much ground on the top 2 you can't pick and choose what you want us to focus on we have to remain in contention for the CC as the gf is less likely with our league position.

Whilst these next 3 games are not 'must win' and the end of our season if we lose all 3,we really need to start taking points off the 'top' teams as it will help improve our confidence and remind some of the fans of these 'top' teams that have forgotton/written us off already that we are still in the hunt.

At this moment in time I think the only teams above us in the table that we have beaten are Hull FC and that cannot go on much longer if we are to be in the shake up for trophies

Why is it always i would take this one over that one like your expecting us to win something.

agree with some of the points I think all the games are important now after our dismal start to the year. But we can win it from below 4 th now with the top 8 look at the French last year, I think with the top 8 system it is easier to win from below top 2 and with how the league is going there are gonna be some good teams out of the top 2

With our current patchy form the chances of another GF victory looks unlikely and 3 wins out of the next 3 fixtures ain't going too happen.(Hope i'm wrong)

We can win all 3 games & I very much doubt we'll lose all 3.

I think that we could win all three, we have 9 days to prepare for bradford after fridays game against Warrington, enough rest time, the only game to be worried about is the Wigan CC game, which is going to be a very close one IMO, that said, I think we will win Wire by about 12 points this week.

I think of it as reverse psychology.

I've lived most my life by that moto. The other half always goes mad with me, she has had to sit next to me at old trafford for the last 3 years saying "we are gonna lose" (in 09 thought we would win but didnt want to say it and jinx it!)

Why should we start winning to remind fans of other clubs anything? Who gives a monkeys what they think? Reminding the players at other clubs that Leeds can beat anhyone on their day is a different matter entirely.

I do tend to think that its about time for Leeds to show real improvement though. And that begins and ends with our defence.

I'm not saying its the only/main reason Brisbane but silencing your critics/doubters is never a bad thing.

As i've said and you agree,we need to start upping our perfornances,especially in defence.

It has to be a concern that we are half way through the season and the only team above us in the table that we have beaten is Hull FC.

At some point,if we are to win anything this season we need to start winning against the likes of Warrington,Wigan,St Helens,Huddersfield and even Bradford.

Friday could be an excellent starting point.

Wakefield were also above Leeds before the Murrayfield Magic weekend, Leeds haven't lost this season to Bradford and it's also pretty difficult to beat a team like Warrington when you've yet to play them.

I agree it's a crucial sequence of games coming up but remain of the opinion that Leeds have it in themselves to win each of them.

Agreed Tvoc but i was meaning the league table as it stands now.

Like you say we are capable of beating these teams above us but we now need to do it where it counts...on the pitch and Friday would be a good starting point.
