It's very sad when you consider it is likely to be one of if not the biggest accolade of his carrer, that is assuming it is Thackray afterall.

I think its really sad that a player who is talented enough to play RL at the top level (and despite what supporters think he was in demand at several clubs), should think so little of his achievements in the game that he's happy to flog off his medals - its almost like he's not really bothered about any of it and just does it for the money, a bit like working in a warehouse or selling the Big Issue.

I just hope that in ten years time when he's grown up he regrets all of this.

As I've said before, he's the only player I've ever heard referring to playing in a Super League game with "I can't – I've got work tomorrow"

I'm undecided whether to bid for this. Could be worth alot in 3/4 decades.

But I have not earnt them, so they wouldn't mean too much to me, but as McLaren Field said, hopefully, assuming it is Thackray, he will in years to come regret all this.

Buy them, gaze forlornly at them, then lob them into the crowd at the next home game. It will make a change to the usual boatload of beer, chips and pop bottles that rain down from the back of the SS on a match day.

Seems a bit weird that so many posters would want an ex-Leeds player to experience regret. Personally I hope he doesn't. Bear in mind there must be loads of ex-players who've sold medals to private buyers. I know of at least one who has done so and who is held in very high regard by most fans.

The culture shock will be tremendous, I'd build up to a week first, you know, two days, then three - see how you go.

No matter where I have lived, Leeds is and always will be home. However, I was delivering to Sainsbury's at White Rose Centre and the one at Moortown the other night. Went through my old haunts of Stanningley and Bramley just to reminice......
