| Quote ="tad rhino"if donald had made the error hall did he would have been slaughtered. donald had a very good game. good to see bluey knows more than the idiot fans who wanted him dropped.
buderus and mcguire were supurb in organising and directing the team around the park
burgess was supurb, lets hope he can cut the handling errors out of his game more often.
the penalty count was lost but seeing as how smith chose to ignore the quins offside at the PTB all night i would question if the count mattered tonight.
and finally how the hell did we win without bailey there to gee the boys up
'"
Hall had a poor game by his season's standards, whilst Scotty has had a poor season.Period.
As the more knowledgeable fans have rightly pointed out, Donald has consistently underperformed this season, and it was good to see him have his best game so far, playing with a bit of enthusiasm and taking his try well.
So that'll be ............4 ........ a bit to go to catch up to his previous seasons totals methinks.
Webb was the best player on the park by a country mile, and with 8 different players crossing the line this was a cracking Leeds performance.
The iceing on the cake was Silly Phil's prediction that we'd never see 50 points being scored against Quins.
48 was close enough to embarrass the fool.

| Wondered how late Diskin's and Bailey's withdrawals from the 17 were. At one stage, I thought that Worrall was a non-playing substitute. With him and Watkins only coming on late in the game, we were almost playing with only 15 men for the majority of the game.

It went down quite well in our house cos it was funny.
Can you imagine the perplexity of a neutral switching on for the last five minutes, unaware of the previous banter, and hearing a supposedly neutral commentator (I know, I know ...) baying "miss ... miss" as a kicker lined up his conversion attempt?
Surreal.
But it added some interest after the game ceased to be a contest.

| I am struggling to understand the demeanour of Brian McClennan in the post match press conference.
He seemed not to want to play with the journalists at all this week, and didn't seem to be want to be drawn into saying anything positive.
I can understand why a coach would want to play down a big win in the middle of the season but, not for the first time, I found his summary uninspiring. Notwithstanding the Quins capitulation that would surely be in the top 3 performances of the year?
Now if they had questioned him about that elusive penalty count .....

| Leeds looked a complete different side with two players that have been distinctly average all season not being in the side.
Buderus as I have said all season is an 80 mins hooker and is better than Diskin could even dream to be.
Bailey is just pure gash, and Leeds looked a better more mobile outfit than him sat in the stands - Burgess by a country mile even though he doesnt do a Matty Adamson and gee the boys up.

| I missed the first 10 minutes of the game and wondered how bad Leeds had been (truly awful listening to Eddie and Stevo). Then I watched it later and I'm struggling to see how a dropped pass and an attempted charge down that luckily fell to a Quins player is "the worst 10 minutes immaginable". I'm afraid I can imagine quite a lot worse than that. No surprises that the home team on the back of a brilliant performance at HKR and a recent thumping of Leeds at HQ came out and played a bit in the first 10. A good 80 minutes for Leeds, just a shame about Phil Clarke not having to walk to York with Barrie driving alongside him laughing all the way.
I think Rob Burrow will be in for some stick this week after being caught by a front row forward, especially after making Jon Wells look like Paul Wellens.

One of our problems this year has been our go forward. With bedsie playing 80 we can go with 4 big ens on the bench!

| A pleasure to watch yesterday. Best performance of the season by some way (inc Wigan at home). Couldn't fault anyone. Buderus close to MOTM for me (again), Burgess and Kylie put some huge hits in, JJB cut out alot of the stupid penalties he's been giving away. The three (four inc Webb) pivots ran the show, there were dummy runners coming at pace, and we cut the errors out. The season ain't dead yet.

How about:
2 mins - Peanalty - JJB
6 mins - Knock on - McGuire from Leeds' first possession
7 mins - Penalty - Sinfield
8 mins - Knock on - Buderus shocking pass to JJB
9 mins - Knock on - Buderus shocking pass to Peacock
11 mins - Nutmegged - Hall conceding a drop out

| sinfield was penalised for having a hand on the ball in the tackle. i saw quins do this on at least 5 occasions and leeds at least another twice. no penalty was given then.
we were pinged for offside a few times yet on at least 5 occasions buderus ran at the markers who were stood shoulder to shoulder. no penalty was given.
i think with this referee, as at HKR, the penalty count can be taken with a pinch of salt

IIRC Phil Bentham was the referee at Hull KR, Ian Smith was the referee yesterday.

I think the point that some on here have tried to make but some on here ignore is this: Peacock and McGuire are by far the two most important players in this side - anyone who thinks Sinfield is a half back compare last week to this and the sheer speed at whisch we attacked - that is simply not possible with Sinfield at 6 - but of course you and gotcha know best
