Derek has a few more surprises in the coming weeks , it’s a case of watch this space , this hasn’t happened overnight , everyone is talking about Leigh Leopards now a great bit of publicity, not only out bidding you lot though , but doing the same to the Giants with Luetele , a name means nothing it’s the team on the field , we have Ipape , Ferguson , Lam , McDonald , Asiata , Amone ,nowHardaker ,and Luetele, and wait till you see our next signing .

Laughter brings joy , and Derek brings investors , as I said we have just got a Company not from local area of Leigh , wanting to get involved , giving us a record 2 year deal , folk are clamouring to get involved with us , Derek is a very successful businessman because he is a clever bloke , a winner in life , his best mate is the Good Doctor , that would be a serious link up .
Everything in the garden is rosy , we have had 4 World Cup matches held at the LSV , have been granted permission to run 2 Academy sides and a Ladies side , maybe the shirt isn’t of everyone’s taste myself I won’t buy one , but I will still be a season ticket holder .

I don't understand the Leigh bashing that goes on. They got hammered for coming into SL at very short notice last time. This time they seem determined to make a fist of staying up and are generating some publicity in the process. Good luck to them I say.

I agree. Good luck to them. Beaumont has people talking about his club and with a smile on his face. Ultimately it comes down to what happens on the pitch but Leigh are putting themselves in a good position there, and with the stuff behind the scenes.

Thank you Gregg, for me last seasons team was the best I’ve ever seen , and I’ve watched Leigh since 1962,but next seasons team looks better , I hope we can gel.
As for the new name , it doesn’t bother me what we are called , but I hate the new shirt , and won’t buy it , I do like the new polo shirt , and will buy a season ticket .
A lot of folk misunderstand Derek , yeah he’s a bit in yer face and brash , but he’s a good guy , he does a lot for charity and underprivileged kids , he has just completed a Leigh to London cycle ride with 9 others for kids , I’ve met him many times , and though I’m not keen on his taste in clothes , I like him .
Can’t wait to visit a few SL grounds next season .

Once you get past the bling and bravado it's hard to escape the conclusion that the game could do with 10 more Beaumont's. Hope he gets rewarded with some packed houses next year.

Good on DB squad-wise. Much rather this than sides whose aspirations don't extend beyond finishing 11th.

If the owner of our club changed the name and colours of our club because he liked a certain animal, put a Jaguars anus on the back of the playing shirt, did the relaunch in the Phoenix club, then started posting different iterations of the branding on Social Media everyday between cocktails on holiday Id be absolutely fuming and embarrassed.

I’m sure he’s s nice guy and well done for earning a few bob but I expect better standards from a top flight RL club oerdonally.

I like to see clubs being ambitious and striving for better things. The sport could do with more column inches and more people attending games.
