| Quote ="EmmaMur01"Well seeing as it started with your fans throwing missiles, I hope so!
BTW did the Leeds fans start the fighting when the Hull fans were fighting amongst themselves?
Thought not.'"
I don't condone that and that is an incident which should be dealt with. However players should be more professional then to start celebrating in front of opposition fans trying to get a reaction. The fighting between Hull fans if you can call it that was a few Hull fans who picked out the bottle throwers to get them ejected from the ground.
Its not just solely Hull fans or Leeds fans to blame, thats why I get annoyed with a thread title that suggest Hull fans caused all the trouble.
ATEOD the Leeds club should take full responsibility for the outcomes because there stewards failed to deal with problems until they was too late. They failed to keep there players from winding up opposition fans and the lack of police meant these idiots were only ejected from the ground and won't be rightly punished for there actions.
As a Hull fan for over 20 years it gets embarrassing having one or two numptys spoil our name and reputation. However it pains me more as a Rugby League fan when most would rather just blame the opposition fans as opposed to working together to keep these idiots out from attending our beautiful game. Even more so we don't do ourselves favors when we publically advertise the incidents on the internet as opposed to going to the clubs / police with complaints. In reality 10-15 people caused trouble yesterday and they will get headlines as opposed to the other 9000 who walked the streets together and shared the same pubs pre and post match and got on very well.

I do wish fans would stop using this kind of thing as a stick to beat each other with. But on the other hand there are far too many excuses made by some. If fans cant deal with mixing with other fans, including the 'goading' that invariably happens when one team wins then the game doesnt need them. I dont care how much 'mocking' 'goading' or 'being big fat meanies' the other supporters are. You are responsible for your behaviour and your reaction the fact there may have been goading is neither here nor there. Grow and ignore it. They are apparently adults their behaviour cant be in any way excused or mitigated because people 'goaded' them.

| Every club has it’s element of senseless supporters, unfortunately (although not entirely unexpected) both Hull teams seem to have more than their fair share.
We saw similar behaviour when Rovers came to town.
Hull folk are militant and have a bazar, over inflated pride in the cesspool of the City they call home. This leads to a gang mentality when they’re allowed out and like a pack of wild dogs there will always be the inevitable in-fighting to prove alpha-male status.
My mate had a German Sheppard that was a bit snappy and would always try and start on any other dog that passed until they got they got him ‘done’. Calmed him right down. They should do that with all the Hull supporters, win-win situation. They’d all calm down a bit and it would stop them from breeding too.

However my suggestion was in reply to someone stating that our club should deal with these idiots. Again I ask how our club are supposed to deal with these idiots when visiting away grounds?? I'm as sick of them as anyone. I love my club to the core and it breaks my heart to see it ripped apart by these mindless imbeciles. I also take umbridge at being tarred with the same brush.

Ok so I guess you didn't get upset by Tomkins actions at Wembley.
Its well known in sport YOU DO NOT taunt the opposing teams supporters as you always run the risk of causing trouble. The Leeds players who swore at the Hull fans are out of order and if you think that is how to celebrate then maybe you shouldn't be allowed out the house.

So what annoyed your fans when they pelted Leeds fans with bottles and coins in 2009 at the KC and what annoyed them when they invaded the pitch to goad our fans and manhandle our players in 2010?

I don't personally see what this has to do with yesterdays incidents. Also can you please refrain from saying fans like it was all 12000 Hull fans when in reality it was probably a couple of idiots.

It's relevant because it's the third time in three years and there seems to be a pattern emerging. I just wondered if the players caused it yesterday what illogical excuses you'd make up for 2009 and 2010. Was that the Leeds players fault again because they looked at you funny?

| If I was that sad enough I could bring up old threads and articles were Leeds fans have being involved in fighting at games.
Its not relevent to this subject at all, basically the Leeds fans have jumped the gun in blaming Hull fans. However once pointed out that Leeds fans were heavily involved and in some case the starter of trouble all you Leeds fans now are back tracking and coming up with as many incidents as possible to try and make us look real bad.
We have idiots as do you, accept the fact that your club is at fault for this mess and deal with it.

Its also a well known in sport that some people simply cant handle being part of the passion. A mixture of low intelligence and a few beers makes a certain set of people behave like absolute morons.
Once again, you are responsible for your own actions, "i didnt like the way he celebrated" or "but he swore at me miss" dont in any way, shape or form mitigate or justify that type of behaviour.
If you think anybody other than the people who behaved in that way are responsible for what happened then Im surprised you can put your pants on in the morning never mind use a computer.

Your supporters caused the trouble and our club is partly to blame for not having a police pesence in the ground and stewards not up to the job. The Leeds officials should have heeded the warnings from our last sunday evening kick off when HKR fans went on the lash all day and caused bother under the noses of inept stewards. Don't try blaming Leeds fans or players for the bother though, because without your lot there is no bother.

Yeah because you're blameless! Why is it Bradford close the bars when you're in town? We turned away some of your fans at the turnstiles a bit back too as they were paralytic. Why do some of the citizens of Hull feel the need to be absolutely mullered to watch the game? It can't be that bad can it?

| As a hull fc fan of 40 years, i too was disgusted when the bottle was thrown on the pitch. however the "fighting" was not what it seemed, it was actually a small group fo TRUE fc fans detaining the person guilty of throwing the bottle, until stewards, 3 female ones, could escort him from the ground.
his name has been given to the local paper, hull daily mail, and to the boards of both Hull fc and Leeds Rhinos in order that any necessary action can be taken. personally i hope he`s banned from ALL rugby league games for life

In theory that may happen.
In practice and with modern turnstiles that will be impossible to police.
But the clubs will make the announcements and we'll all feel better.

| Just gunna add my two bobs worth fwiw, i've been visiting headingley with hull fc regularly since the mid 70's and its got to be one of my favourite away grounds, have had many good days out round leeds/ headingley area and before 2004 didnt even get wet as used to go in the south stand but still had good banter with leeds fans, on the downside i always know that for some reason there is always that chance of a bit of bother at hull/leeds games, unfortuately our moronic idiot element seems to swell for these games but lets not forget that 99% of hull/leeds and rugby league fans do get on well with each other. Btw well done to leeds on win, just wish we could have give you bit of a game!
