Although I have got a hotel booked in Perpignan for the Saturday night (which I assumed would be after the game), things might be working out for the better.

- I have found I can have virtually a full day on the beach / in the water in Spain and make it from the resort to Perpignan via public transport on Saturday evening.

- Being in Perpignan 'first thing' on Sunday morning means that I can get the very early connection for 'le Petit Train Jaune' up in to the mountains, spend the day up there and still be back in Perpignan in time for the game.

- Sounds like Lord Percy has got his usual driver sorted for the return trip back to Spain after the game and there's a space in the car for said journey.

Chance of another objective knocked off before the game .... Working out well !

Got the flights direct from Jet 2 for £230pp myself. I'm sure if you decided to look elsewhere it would be cheaper but you wouldn't get to sit at the back of the plane whilst Keith Senior is chatting up the stewardess at the front.

Not sure I’m that happy about RLFans handing out my email address (although I’ve probably agreed to it in the T&C’s I didn’t bother reading when I signed up)

I can afford it because I don't allow myself to be fleeced by these kind of [is[/i 'offers' [is[/i.

I'm also not foolish enough to swallow the spin of this [is[/i great offer. An offer that masquerades as the supporters funding the entire trip.

Ok so it aint the cheapest option but if you know the price from the outset, you know that there are cheaper options and you are aware that it might not be the best value for money whats the problem?

Nothing on the first page of T&Cs. All about not posting vulgar items etc. Nothing about sharing your email address with 3rd parties.

I've got one too. I'm not overly fussed but it is a bit out of order.

The email address I have registered for this board is specifically not given out to anyone who I think might use it for marketing purposes. I have another email address for that.

I have, in the past, had to abandon email accounts because they have become swamped with spam emails and I really don't one this one going down the same route.

For any ADMIN's that read this, is there anything that I can do to prevent Catalan Sports Tours selling me email address on to a 4th party and why was my address given/sold to them in the first place?

Come to think of it, all 3 of my registered email addresses have one, even when i changed my email address on one account.

It's no good being the richest man in the graveyard fella. If the only reason you can afford something is because you leave the money in the bank every time you think you can afford it, then technically, you can't afford it can you?!


I haven't fallen for any spin?? I know full well that the cost is so high as to hopefully cover the cost of the trip. What's wrong with that?? I don't think it's a masquerade at all. In fact if you read previous post carefully I pointed that out long before you did.

I've heard it's a great trip - if you can afford it then why not.

You can get a much better deal doing it other ways, but why the abuse if you chose to do it in style?
