He's passionate and knows how to motivate a team. He has said he would be interested. He understands the RFL, and how the SL clubs play. I think the hold up is the foreign holiday he's got booked with his wife. I think once he's back they'll announce him as interim until the end of the season with a view to a three year contract following.

The result was great but it was a poor spectacle... Other than the personal stories of McGuire going out on a high and Stevie Ward being victorious despite playing injured (great to see him smiling in that pic), this is my least favourite GF win. It papered over the cracks and convinced GH that Myler, Dwyer and Peteru was adequate recruitment to add to a 'champion side', which ended up failing dismally in 2018.

Back on topic, whatever Powell's personal animosity against Leeds (GH did effectively sack him, in a round about way), it would be great to have him back to bring through the current crop of kids. Jesus, some people hold this against Powell while wishing for Shaun Wane, who bleeds Wigan and seemingly hated Leeds in the past. I know which one I'd prefer.

Marshall is heading to Saints to replace Sean Long as assistant.

I suspect Ward will be viewed as too high a risk by the Leeds management.

He is doing a great job with London. I just feel the club will want to choose someone with more coaching wool on the back. Also some history between him and Leeds which could be good or bad!

To be fair, we're showing some progress at the moment under Agar. I imagine Leeds will be nervous about changing anything while the side are showing glimmers of promise.

I also suspect that the real target is currently contracted to another club for 2019 - or will only come to coach once Leeds have secured top flight status again for 2020.

I think if we win on Friday or at least continue to improve I think It will be Agar for rest of season .Sinfield wont want to risk the squad go though a rocky patch while getting used to a change of ideas at this stage

I keep saying it. I can easily see it being Agar for the next couple of years. Get a few results, keep us up, say 'yes Kev' a few times and it's his for the taking.

Final PP went through recently (reserved matters) and things are moving pretty quickly now. The shopping mall needed a 75% take up to trigger the funding. The take up was 55% before final PP was passed and two more big chains and two smaller ones have signed up since so it must be fairly close. Its also been said that some are waiting for the outcome of Brexit (some will sign if we stay in, some will sign if we leave) so I just hope its decided soon. If you google Axiom all the updates and progress are there for all to see and it won't take us 34 years to pay off the loans as its free.

If Agar does keep us up given the shambles we've been in, would he not deserve a shot?

I'd say given we've seen a bigger turnaround under Agar than we have anyone else in the last 18 months (not difficult I know...), he's in the box seat to have it long term. If he wants it that is. £££ will always play a part in that decision I guess.

And I keep saying it is going to be a joke appointment, much worse than Agar. I can just see it now.
