Not at all. The "rumours" regarding Shannahan are now pretty concrete. John Lynch was in the commentary booth for our game with San Diego last night and he said he had spoken to Shannahan that day and he was "pretty certain he (Shannahan) would end up in DC".

Can't see him going to a franchise that is traditionally tight as a duck's sphincter somehow - he'll want to have good players at his disposal and a chance to challenge for the playoffs.

I feel a bit sorry for whoever ends up coaching in Tampa next year. You end up with a team in a rebuilding phase and stuck in the same division as two good relatively young sides in Atlanta and New Orleans. You just can't see the Bucs turning it around in the space of one season and going 11-5 for example.

Kyle Shannahan will be the offensive co-ordinator and if the Bengals lose this weekend we'll probably interview Mike Zimmer for Defensive co-ordinator. Joe Bugel (legend) is retiring. In fact, the only hold-over from the coaching staff will, I expect, be jerry Gray (secondaries coach) as a thank you for his sham interview to satisfy the Rooney Rule.



Playing staff is very uncertain but there will be change, especially on the offensive side. If 2010 is an uncapped year there will be massive roster changes. I expect Portis will be gone if its' an uncapped year as his legs are done, he's disruptive and its' as good a time as any to offload his huge salary.



I hope they retain Campbell and draft O-linemen but they might not be able to resist the lure of a Franchise QB with the 4th pick. It would be silly. In fact, I would look to trade down to acquire more picks.



Areas that need addressing are O-Line, RB, QB, LB.
