It was rhinoms' support of your comment that surprised me. I'm afraid I wasn't as surprised that you would use such a word or find it offensive if used towards you.

I don't think it's the nicest word to use and there are many others i'd add to the list it was a name called on an internet forum which was removed anyway.
Some of the abuse that flys around on here and other forums is just as bad imo if not worse.

Because I thought you'd appreciate that a line had been crossed and back the moderation process on this sub-site rather than suggest a visiting fan 'had it coming to him' because he called someone a 'muppet'. IMO there is a world of difference between the two.

Then you suggested it was only 'emoticoms' anyway so I was happy to drop the matter as I then assumed you didn't see the word used before it was moderated and you were simply ignorant as to what had been posted. (Even though I found your suggestion that the post had been moderated over an emoticom as absurd.)

I've been informed that the word is 'unacceptable when used as a term of abuse' and that both posters were also in breach of 2.1 of the AUP.

I've no idea what is in the AUP (whatever that stands for) and are not particularly interested as I doubt I would ever allow myself to be in any serious breach of whatever it contains. Certainly in the several years of using this forum, going all the way back to it's earliest days on rivals.net (rhinovulcan back then) I've never even had a slapped wrist from the powers that be.

Do you not think that might be something to do with those photographs you have of Paul, Gary and some baby oil at the donkey sanctuary?
