Sounds nothing like Bloc Party, completely different direction. Not sure if want.

Ironically I'd have said that was one of their worst. Suppose a group that was around for a good few years has a number of distinct sounds and for me the earliest stuff was the best - Movement and Power, Corruption & Lies and the EP inbetween.
Doing an 80s thing myself today - Siouxsie & the Banshees (actually its more late 70s/early 80s but you know...)

| The 1980s - a bit like digging for gold in a council rubbish tip, you know that your grandma's wedding ring is in there somewhere because your wife threw it out accidently, but its going to take the rest of your life to find it.
If you want a proper nostalgia weekend you need to go back a bit further, like this for example... [urlhttp://jerrychicken.wordpress.com/2010/05/08/video-saturday-the-rolling-stones-3/[/url

The early 80s weren't too bad in my opinion - end of 2-tone, Smiths, early Cure, Siouxsie, JoyDivision/New Order etc.
After that nothing happens until the end of the 80s when you start to get some decent stuff coming from the other side of the pennines.

| I see Deadmau5 is now finishing off his sets with a remix of Rick Astley's 1982 hit 'Never Gonna Give You Up'. Interesting.

The Jam were the dogs nadgers imo.
Then the school disco tunes Spandau,A-ha,Early Bon-Jovi and an ecleptic mix of one hit wonders!

| Mad on the 80s me. Spandau, Bowie, Duran Duran, Human League, Huey Lewis, Smiths, Cure, New Order, OMD etc. Got that MOS electronic 80s collection thing and it's beauty.
Stone Roses are the greatest band ever though. No one beats them.

| Keane, really? My estimation of you has gone right down.
Just checking out the new Faithless and Pendulum albums to see what the crack is. Pendulum isn't all that bad but I feel with the exposure they got from the last album, this new one is more chart friendly which is a slight disappointment

Indeed. Good old Ron Mael.
And Titch - it was Goering that played keyboards - Hitler was the lead singer.
