Lolohea and hurrells basic errors are infuriating

Both teams look like they're defending with 12 men.

We've no idea how to defend. I don't rate lolohea so far. Very very iffy in defence.

Worst offender in defence is Watkins but that right edge as a whole is awful

So far this season our goal line defence and at kicks has been very poor. We look Ok with the ball, but without it we lack urgency and coordination, very dog leg line especially on our right side.

We look so much better in attack but our right hand defence is woeful, not been impresses with Smith at 6

Smith isn’t really a 6, he’s a backrower that can handle a bit. I’d say he’s been at least as good as Myler. I don’t recall anything of value from Watkins, Myler, Peteru, Sutcliffe or Ferres. That’s way too many not contributing.

Ill take mid table this year! We still have a chance in this game we are making good metres with the ball and the structure in attack looks decent but if we don’t sort the defence out it will be a long 40mins

Agreed, but that’s symptomatic of our goal line defence so far this season. We have poor technique in 1-2-1 tackling so too many misses are conceding tries. Merrin has been OK tonight so far (no better than that) but he’s done the same as Smith a couple of times this season already with the same result.

I’d say in many respects we are a bit like when Tony Smith had to teach us how to hold the ball, but this time in defence.

Lots for Furner to work on, but we knew that anyway. We still need some more beef on the pack and more bite in the defence.

Mid table teams being generous. Our defence is a complete shower and we make too many stupid mistakes for our improved attack to compensate for it, that oledzki hit up on the last tackle and mylers hopful punt into the air 20 meters from there line with tackles to spare being prime examples. we look a team that lacks rugby intelligence just as much as we lack a big of grunt. Cam smiths defence has been a massive problem, his starting position is too narrow and he hasnt got the pace to get out to the edges quick enough, not his fault tho, hes a back row, a good game at 6 against lower league opposition in pre season dosnt change that, hopfuly he dosnt get judged on this game and gets chances in his proper position going forward.

This awful...absolutly awful. My f'in god hurrell man, all the time...how hard is it to concentrate and go ten miutes without a mistake. Thus is why NRL clubs got sick of him
