I really feel for Stevie, he puts 110% in every time he plays and he doesn’t catch a break from injury, maybe his body is just meant for this anymore, that’s a horrible thing to say as he is a great player. I hope they manage to sort him out and he gets better soon. Maybe he needs to be taken out of the pack and brewed as a centre.

I’d imagine he will be back and fit in due course.

Some studies are showing links between playing contact sport/RL and increased risk of MND. It’s right that the sport takes brain injuries more seriously.

I suspect that we’ll see less of players on the field generally going forward. If they are better managed during their careers then maybe we’ll have a reduced number of lifelong injury conditions when they stop playing.

Flogging them until they fall apart isn’t really welfare-friendly and I suspect the sport is going to have to grasp this nettle.

Yeah I said when we signed Leeming that I didn't think the club saw Johnson as the long term option. Maybe he'd been having doubts over the off season.

Unfortunately the club did see Corey as the long term 9 and are shocked by it all. He was told he would start at Wigan in the pre-seaaon friendly but Corey turned down the opportunity.
