The only shock omission is Adam Johnson. Walcott has had far too many chances and I hope he spends the off season figuring where it went all wrong. Mind you getting drunk with your mates down the boozer sounds more prosperous than thinking.

We have been discussing this at work all day and to a man no one can fathom Heskey's selection.

So Johnson plays for City ahead of SWP. He's been one of the best wingers in the Premier League since he joined. He's left footed. Yet Capello decides to take the poor SWP.

I guess its because the last 10 games rooney has played without Heskey he has scored twice yet the last ten games he has played with Heskey alongside him he has scored nine goals. He might be a big lump who couldnt hit a barn door but he scares defenders to death with his size and ability in the air and Rooney loves playing off him.

Personally id like to see Rooney start up front on his own with J cole playing off him and if we need a goal bring Crouch off the bench reverting to 442. Crouchs goals to games ratio is second to none.
