Good god we’ve made hard work of this. One to forget but not to repeat.

Another nervous finish from us but we got over the line in the end and kept our play off hopes alive. Great Finish from T.Briscoe to nudge us in front with 10 to go. Seumanufagai, T.Briscoe and Martin were our top performers i thought. Cas dug deep with some try savers but Holmes brain explosion cost them doesn't matter if he tapped Myler gently with his boot or full on belted him can't kick out simple. Hope we can continue to pick up wins til end of season.

That would have had the band doing the Steptoe music...

Tbh I had a sneaky feeling this could be a banana skin tonight. Monday night. Empty ground. Still got a cup hangover for many of the players on show tonight.

Utter garbage performance...absolute show. Too many awful performances to mention anyone inparticular...Ava went well.

Job done, albeit very badly, not sure there’s any positive other than the % or points to take from that.

We were good enough to win but it wasn’t a pretty watch, however it did look like a typical post CC performance to be fair

they were awful. im sure agar will reflect the same.

We gifted them a try that revitalised them with dumb play just before half time (though I was a bit surprised that the ref didn't bring it back for the knock on from the Cas player) and in the second half you would have struggled to say which side was down to 12. Years gone by we've not won at all after Wembley so I'll take this, but it must have given Wakey hope.

Positives though - our front row are starting to look borderline formidable, both hookers are getting us forward well (if a bit off the cuff) and I've not seen anyone make as many metres after contact as Hurrell, even Peacock.

I also suspect McShane might join the ever growing list of players who spend a couple of games suspended after playing us and us not even getting awarded a penalty for the offence. That crusher was pretty bad.

All in all, winning was more important than playing well, so job done.

Wasnt pretty but we ground it out. Ava and Prior very good. Martin played well.

A week after winning and celebrating the cup it was about the W.

Were ok. Were getting tougher mentally. Lots to work on tho.

Thought Cas defended terrifically well, huge credit to them - albeit we weren’t offering much shape.

Cup final hangover yes - but also don’t forget we have played above ourselves a bit in the cup run.

My expectations are already exceeded this season. Next year, I’ll be looking for us to move up a gear. Think we need some more conditioning into the younger players, one or two new players and some new ideas.
