Looks like London and KR are both losing, but I dont think this relegation battle is over yet ,there could still be twists and turns . Our next game is crucial

Our game against London is Leeds must win for Hull kr/Huddersfield/Wakefield

Yes I thought KR were getting beat at one stage if we dont win next week it will make the London game crucial

London game could be a dead rubber for us if we win the next 2 and they lose the next 2.

And we could send our academy players to London and that would send shock waves to our west yorkshire neighbours.

I can’t see Leeds being remotely interested in playing kingmaker in the relegation battle once we are safe.

Can you imagine if we did it again. Other than Saints everyone else is beatable and we have a great record against Saints in Grand Finals, they could bottle it. Getting to 5th is going to be tricky, we certainly need to win all our remaining games to stand a chance.

Well Wigan are now fancying themselves to grab second spot as for us a good result against Saints and who knows ,but Saints playing us will be up for it because they are playing Leeds

What is annoying is those close games 3 spring to mind, London, Wigan and Hull FC, win them and were in the mix for 2nd spot never mind 5th!

I believe the squad were underachieving early this season and we could be easily in top 5. Clarke said we looked like a top 5 side now.

Its surely not even mathematically possible as the teams above us have to play each other and therefore have to pick up points along the way.

I think it is mathematically possible as I dont think catalan or Castleford play each other, so if they both lose all their remaining games, same for Salford and we win all ours we make 5th - it’s utter fantasy land though and isn’t going to happen

Even if by some miracle it did, there's zero evidence we have a team good enough to negotiate play offs and a grand final.
Yes, we did it a couple of times before but with a nucleus that had already won multiple grand finals. We're currently watching a side that seems to have just enough about it to avoid relegation with a game or two to spare.

That said, I do hold a modicum of optimism for next year.

I agree, part of me actually wants Saints to play a full strong side on Thursday as it will be a good test of where we actually are.

We will finish 8th, get the idea of finishing 5th out of your head, we have had a terrible season and deserve nowt, the rugby that has been served up this year has been rubbish. This year I will be glad when I get to the last game on my season ticket

I think alot will depend on how we finish, if we finish strongly the fans might have a bit of optimism that we’ve turned a corner

The fool and his money are easily parted. Let’s not forget that Yorkshire people have deep pockets, trust me they will need to convince me that buying season tickets for next year represents money well spent. I bet they won’t increase any prices.

I've had a season ticket for over 30 years and have seen some right dross served up and very little worse than this year. I'll have no hesitation in renewing my season ticket for next year as I'm a Leeds fan and always will be
