No he is not, but is an improvement on the utter crap Sutcliffe, we need about 10 new players in off season and about 10 been given the boot, we have to get players from somewhere and a player with somthing to prove is better than players who dont give a .

All contracts become void, i’d imagine we’d keep most of our squad and bounce back up next year.

If we get relegated, GH could use it as an excuse to wipe the slate clean. Obviously we should desperately try to retain the really important players like Watkins, Myler, Lolohea, Garbutt who we'd need to have a genuine crack at getting promoted (actually that's a depressingly short list of must haves). But it would give a chance to get rid of the chaff and focus on bringing on youth with anyone else remaining basically playing for a spot.

We shouldn't lose sight of how ordinary the M8s are - we're not ripping up trees because we're playing good sides but because we're terrible. The chances are we'd be up against a similar set of teams next year as well.

Assuming we stay up, surely the message loud and clear is get rid of the fogies, let players who aren't committed leave, and for goodness' sake lets at least try recruit some players who can help make us entertaining to watch.

There's so much rubbish in our team we can't shift it all in one off season, but we can start by releasing some of that ancient back row.

Agree expect contract extensions for JJB, Ablett and Delanney

Even on Pay as you Play, that wouldn't make any sense as you'd have to hold the entire potential cap space open for them just in case they played every game (even though this will never happen), otherwise you risk breaching the cap, or not being able to play someone because you can't afford it...

We can keep one of them, my money would be on Ablett, but if Delaney could get (and stay) fit, his defence is much better and lord knows we need better defenders...

The problem we have is similar to LUFC who had some poor players on long term contracts.
We need to find clubs that will take these players or the players themselves need to realise they will not get picked and therefore they need to move on at a reduced salary.
I doubt for one minute those who have contracts will move for less money so we are stuck.
Decent players will not come to this once great club anymore as they are no longer guaranteed silverware.
The club must start at the top and get a flipping good coach and try and attract better players again similar to LUFC.
My fear is that we are bust and have no money in the pot and we just might get relegated.
Whilst it gave us all a boost that we were getting a couple of nice new shiny stands it could well be our downfall.

JJB is the most vulnerable - he has said he wants to go round again so I expect that to happen. Ablett will definitely get an extension - that leaves Delanney - he will inexpensive so I expect him to get an extension too
