Spot on. It looked like two teams just trying to get through the game rather than win for the majority. For a fixture like Leeds vs Wigan it should be all out giving it their all.

Other issues aside myler, who has surprised me with how hes gone so far, really needs a proper half back partner as moon is nowhere near and is also wasted there.

We’re all just rugby fans, and the players really (unlike footballers) are mosty just normal down to earth lads who mostly like each other even between rival teams.

Spot on, moon is a better centre than playing any kind of half back role. Get a decent half back and we have the best three quarter line in the league. Poor refereeing last night, play the ball area was woeful, both teams conning the referee to win penalties. Superb drop goal by Tompkins have to give the lad credit for that. On both our attempted drop goal attempts several Wigan players were blatantly offside. They were actually stood well in front of the referee. Not sour grapes just stating the blindingly obvious.

I would really like to see lilley given a go and moon back to centre.

correct ,but we have this on both sides and Danny MacGuire did thankfully recover and his career went on for a few years

In no way do I claim to be a great analyst of the game, but if there was a game plan last night it didn't make it into the pitch. There seemed to me to be little or no organisation, they played like strangers. I can take losing, but that was poor from Leeds, all round the park.

Reliable sources? Does your source/sources indicate the destination of moon. Remember when he wanted to leave salford on the grounds he was homesick . Obviously Leeds must be closer to Australia than sunny salford.

Lilley is too slow both physically and in his ability to read the game/react to what is going on - never an elite SL player

Lilley couldn't get a look in at Leigh on loan. He and Myler like a few have said probably wouldn't fit as a combination.

I like the lad and think he could actually have a SL future later on when he's 27/28+ but doesn't look like he's in the plans at the moment.

Never a truer word spoken in jest. If Myler had a decent partner the team would be so much more balanced and our attack would should fire like it needs to.

Having watched the game back it was interesting to see how offside O'loughlin was for the first attempted drop by Myler..never square in a month of sundays.

Pretty poor stuff by both teams.

Highlights were Myler, Parcell and Hall for Leeds with some good contributions in defence from Delaney and Ward. Tomkins and Isa for Wigan.

Not sure why Wigan seem to need to have niggle in every tackle, it so spoils the game. Leeds lost that in the last 10 by allowing Wigan so much room to run at them. We just failed to close them down.

PS: Jack Walker is so much better than Golding in attack and defense. The sooner he is back the better...and can we get back to using subs in a better way! old habits die hard with McDermott...

I was expecting the usual criticism of subs at HT when he only used 1, but TBF he did use his remaining subs in the 2nd half so harsh to criticise him on it this time. The more he introduced the bench more we slipped out of the game.

Why did Golding go for the short kick off when the match turned 8-8. Bad decision, with Wigan getting field advantage to get the one point. Needed the long kick off and try holding them down as far away from our sticks as possible. This probably cost us a point !!
The kick off after worked out for him but Myler missed the easier kick in the end.

Well, we've lost by a point at home to two of our likely rivals for top 4. Let's hope we don't have to win the reverse games for a place.

Watched it back and it just emphasised how poorly we managed the game after going 8 up, whether it came from mcdermott or on the field it was awful. Our total lack of ambition ball in hand didnt make them work in defence, leaving them full of energy for when they got the ball, added to the penaltys and stupid decisions, it was a pretty dismal last 15/20 mins.

I'll say it right here, I do ***king hate Wigan, and I'll sing about it if I want, just like any other fan can sing about hating Leeds (although you guys realise that most Leeds fans find the song 'We all hate Leeds scum' pretty funny given it is so old it is embarrassing)
