That's as weak a Cas team as I have seen for a few years. I do wonder if Powell has decided to play the long game this year & sacrifice a few games.

Interesting that Garry Lo still isn't anywhere to be seen for Cas after the hype from the WC even with their first choice wingers injured/moved to centre.

Watkins and Golding both passed their concussion tests. Obviously Watkins in, just a question over who starts at fullback AND whoever misses out do they get a bench spot over Dwyer? Worked out well for us to be carrying a FB on the bench last week but normally wouldn't have one over an interchange hooker. Was it a case of not risking Dwyer as he's had a problem with his ribs?

Dwyer can easily do a stint as loose so would be happy for same as last week with Dywer in for Walters,

Harry Newman has also been drafted in to the Fev squad as we (Fev) are desperately short at centre due to injuries/suspensions so I'd say he's certain to play.

Powell said a couple of weeks ago that Lo was behind Clare and Jy at the minute and had work to do.

Great spirit to come back from such a woeful start. We shouldn't have got ourselves into that position in the first place but we bossed the last 65 minutes. Shame we missed a very kickable goal early in the comeback

Walker has to be FB imo. Great effort to come back but we were very poor to be 24-0 down.
Also if we have a fit Prop next week id drop Mullally he got battered tonight imo.

P.s Kendall was worse than our defence in that first 20. The game was far too big & fast for him.

Agree with both points. We lost that because of starting line up. Walker has proved himself automatic now, the team needs it, looks so much better.

Never has the saying looks like Tarzan plays like Jane, been more apt than Mullally tonight.

The boys should be proud of that. Lots of positives for us and unlucky to lose in the end. Handley has to keep his place for as long as his current form holds.

I'd have liked to have seen Smith get more minutes, but I thought Walters probably had his best game for us.

Defeats are never easy to take but some are better than others and that was one of the best. Thought we were the better team for the majority of the game after Castlefords great start.
Agree we looked better when Walker came on but I also thought Golding did a decent job at hooker. Wonder if it was always the intention to give him a stint there.
A lot to like for both teams, but as we know it's a long season.
Think we have to persevere with Watkins as our goalkicker. He is not in the same league as Sinny or Gale atm but is the best we have got imo.
