All these people who have a go at Ryan please remember he played several hundred games for Leeds, won 6 six grand final and various other awards so he was clearly not a bad player. I hope he can sort out the problems he has and hopefully find another club and thank you for the memories

I don't think that those "having a go" at the player formerly known as TMFMISL are rubbishing his contribution to Leeds over the years. I think the issues are around the way he didn't reach his full potential and continues to fail to seize opportunities few are given, letting people down as he goes.

You've conveniently forgot to add that the tearaway from Hull Scott Wheeldon has also not been retained. Academy prospects Gadwin Springer and Will Maher are going to be in the first team as well next year for Cas. Bailey and Wheeldon were just one year stop gaps which happens all the time in sport.

Unlikely but is Smith staying beyond this year? I thought he was just on a mission to keep them in SL.

I'm sure that there was something in the statement released when Wakey announced that they'd taken him on which indicated a possibility of him staying beyond the end of this season.

But if they can afford to keep him, I doubt they or he would take a risk on Bailey. Any sensible coach / chief exec would surely ask the question, are we any more likely to get effort and commitment out of RB than HKR and Cass?

Can't find anything on how long he signed up for. I would guess it could depend on if Wakey stay up. Not sure he'd want to stick around if they're in the Championship next year.

On a serious note, well documented how Tony Smith runs things. If he gets Bailey under discipline and playing rugby rather than playing to type 2016 should be much more successful than the joke 2015 season.

Whilst I don't disagree, you've got him now, so look on the bright side. He is very good at getting a quick play the ball and drawing fouls from the opposition.

Despite all of the 'glad we got rid' stuff on here, he still won 6 titles with us, as well as lots of other cups. Multiple coaches didn't get rid, so he must have something.
