Only Wigan and Stains fans try and tell everyone who and why teams should be called Champions. We are simply happy to comply with the conditions the sports governing body set at the start of every season. We don't have to tell anyone what matters, the RFL does that.

Whilst he played most of his junior rugby at centre I can't see him playing there any time in the near future nor is he that comfortable at full back. Regardless of that he is a very good winger and he's still only 23, I'll be disappointed to see him leave Hull but the emergence of Lineham and Crooks will soften the blow when he likely moves on. It wouldn't surprise me to see him playing for Leeds next year at all.

Last reports were that they hoped he'd be back sometime in June but nothing heard since JC.

I'd be very surprised to see Leeds throw Jones-Bishop straight back into the first team without at least 80 minutes at Hunslet under his belt first.

Is your very reliable source still saying Tom Briscoe has signed a 5 year deal with the Rhinos? It's gone very quite and from 1 June clubs can make approaches for players.

yeah its a done deal apparently my source told me about 3 weeks ago that the deal had just been signed he is a member of our 1st team so I would say its maybe 90 percent positive that its true

I'd be very disappointed if BJB leaves to accommodate Briscoe. Given BJB's versatility and the rather obvious lack of quality threequarters at the club outside the starting 5 it would be prudent to have at least one other experienced, high quality FB/Wing in the squad.

I am fairly certain Tom Briscoe will be leaving, Hull made him what was said by the CEO a very very good offer to stay but he hasn't signed it and I know he as other offers to consider. Its a short life as a rugby player so if he does join you then you must have made a very good offer to him and you have to get it while you can.

I wont make out that I have any idea what the offer would be as I don't know but we have be debating whether its wise to spend a large chuck of the cap on a winger but saying that Tom is a good player and he would score a lot of tries for you if he signed.

He is having a very quiet year this year and I think all this about his future is taking its toll on him, still be sorry to lose him.

Cannot argue with the above. I like briscoe as a player but cannot see the benifit of losing BJB. Also I imagine wage wise briscoe won't be cheap and we have other areas in need of some attention

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see Briscoe at Leeds. I just don't want to lose BJB. Given that there have been precious few times in the last few seasons that we have been able to put out our first choice threequarter line and with the speculation regarding Watkins and interest from Australian clubs, combined with what appears to be a set of juniors that someone as ordinary as Vickery can leapfrog, it would seem to be a basic requirement to have a utility back the likes of which we haven't had since we released Lee Smith.
We could use both Briscoe and BJB.

Briscoe has been fantastic fo us in the last few seasons. Always a strong returner of the ball and has immense strength in defence. However this year he is looking very troubled that he is leaving. His hopes were pinned on Aus and since that has fallen through i think he's unhappy at thte thought of leaving for another English club.
