Bit of train info:
If you do decide to travel by train you need to get to either Atherton or Newton Le Willows.
Atherton-Victoria is at 22:43
Newton-Victoria is 22:48
Then from Victoria to Leeds on the 23:13 arriving at 00:55
You can get there 20 mins earlier if you make the 22:29 train at Newton.

Or Catch the 22:05hrs Number 26 First Manchester Bus from Leigh Bus Station to Manchester Shrudehill Bus Station arr 22:59hrs / walk or tram/bus to Manchester Piccadilly for the 23:21 or 23:38hrs First Trans Pennine Express Trains Manchester Piccadilly to Leeds arriving at 00:31hrs and 00:35hrs respectively.
In fact if you come via that same way ask for a Manchester Plus Bus with your train fare from Leeds to Manchester and for £3.50 on top of your train fare (less if you have a railcard) you have a Bus Ticket for the entire Greater Manchester area.

Will be finishing early and getting a flyer to avoid the madness around Leeds at teatime. If I can get my graft done we'll be heading off early afternoon to stop off at a pub up in the pennines for some decent Yorkshire grub before we continue past border control into Red Rose county. Hopefully we'll be around the M60 before the carnage starts and holed up in Leigh around 4ish. A few of you have kindly suggested a few decent alehouses so after a toby around we'll get settled in one of those. It's a big game for Leigh so there should be a decent atmosphere in town and it's my first visit to Leigh since the late 70's early 80's when we beat you at hilton Park in a challenge cup tie. Should be a good day out and I'm looking forward to it.

| When I went to watch you lot at Salford in the league game when you thrashed them. I was sat in the east stand with a lovely couple from Leeds and a Salford fan. We had a lovely evening and at the end the fella from Leeds shook our hands and I said that it would be good if we drew you in the challenge cup. Well we have and if the gentleman reads this board I will be in the west stand north end near the middle. Hope all you lot have a safe journey both ways and looking forward to the game.

Bridgwater and Bridge Inn both shut. The Britannia and the Ellesmere (now known as the Centurion) are on the way to the ground from the town centre so I'd suggest starting in the town centre and then popping in on your way past!
Plenty of pubs in the town centre which is only a short hop across the canal bridge from the Centurion (Goose is 10 minutes walk from the stadium with plenty more pubs in the immediate vicinity). If it's a nice day then the Waterside Inn has canal-side dining areas and does decent food and ale, although the Goose is much busier on a matchday (and is my usual matchday haunt).

| For Pubs (and for food) go to either:
Goose, Yates (Lord Street) and The Waterside - these are about 10-15 mins walk to Stadium, Centurion, Britannia and Ellesmere already mentioned.
There is also the Harvester on the Parsonage Retail Park (where Sainsburys is) - on the other side of Leigh.
Robin Hood (near Fire Station) park there and you can walk to the Stadium.

| This is what Rugby is all about.
Great rapport with the fans a bit of banter and sharing ideas where to go for a beer and a meet up before the game.
Well impressed with the Leigh guys so far.

You missed out the White Lion and Boar's Head Ste, bloody useless! (All of the named pubs are on Leigh Road/Market Street/King Street/St Helens Road by the way which is basically one straight road anyway, with plenty more pubs besides!)
