I cant see the club saying a player is ill,if he is suspended for a disciplinary matter.If they say he is ill,then I believe them.He will have a sicknote saying he cannot attend training till he is cleared by his doctor

Bad cold/flu been unable to train according tonights EP. If it's anything like the bug I've started with 4 weeks ago I can sympathise with him.

I'm doubting his commitment and feel he's just using the club to try and eek out a better deal elsewhere. I say he's had long enough - the offer should be withdrawn.

When he said its rumoured that Webb has been suspended ,well if Webby has a severe viral infection,then he will be banned from the training ground till he's clear of it.

On a slightly different, but realted, note. With Greenshield's leaving Catalans at the end of the year it wouldn't surprise me to see Webb end up there. Obviously that's depends on where the club see BJB long term. But losing Webb would be a big blow, especially to our attacking structure. Wouldn't miss is forward passes though...

Or his high tackles, or his backchat, or his negative attitude, or his chronic back problems, or his temper tantrums, or his overall niggly temprement, or his ever increasing error prone games. Come to think of it, I really don't like Webb at all.

Brent Webb should not be allowed to leave Leeds until the club has an adequate replacement at full back. On the evidence of recent weeks there is no adequate replacement at full back at the club currently.

IF Webb were to leave who's to say we don't have an adequate replacement at the club?
Are we seriously writing players off after 2/3 games at FB as not good enough for the shirt on a regular basis?
Admittedly our options at FB aren't exactly the same type of FB as Webb but at least give whoever gets the gig if at all time to settle in there and also the team to settle down to the new FB aswell.

Leeds need another mature head somewhere in the backline. Otherwise we have too many kids learning their positions at the same time, plus Hall. Full-back is too much of a pivotal position these days.

The only player who comes close to offering the qualities Leeds need is Lee Smith, but he also seems to be out of sorts and some way off recapturing his pre-Union form. I'm not saying he's definitely unfit for this role, but if he can't do it I think it is time for the club to look elsewhere.

Anyway, I think we're wasting far too much energy discussing this seriously (see my previous post in this thread) until anything can be substantiated

That said, Webb's probably not got that many seasons left in him, so it will be interesting to see what the longer-term options are in this position.

Anthony Minichiello will be in a Leeds shirt next season.
