Ah, would that be the "Whirling Dervish" ploy? A much under estimated weapon in a rampaging forwards armoury, and seen far too rarely these days.
I shall be especially looking out for it in tonight's Wigan/Warrington match, and will be a tad disappointed, if there's not a couple of tries as the result of those big lumpy lads' silky offloading skills....

Do you believe every beat-up sharticle story you ever read on what was obviously a slow sports news day for the Sydney Morning Herald?

So Morley is concentrating on the Wolves, but I bet his agent is in discussions with clubs in the NRL and superleague about Morley's possible future employment opportunities.

You really are an ar5ehole of the highest degree.
I hope and pray that my kids don't grow up to be as sad and twisted, so they spend their entire day by themself trying to start arguments whilst hiding behind a keyboard.

Anything is possible, although unlikely. I still think there is something in the Roosters story, even if it is to get a better deal at the Warrington.

| I'm delighted that JP's contract has been extended by a further 2 years
People forget that JP had a late introduction into top flight RL and IMO that has prolonged his career at the back end of it
He will also be a great role model to our younger players who are now breaking through into our first team and ensure that our winning ethos will be passed onto our next generation of players
If JP can't manage his game, even at his age and in order to peak for the half dozen tough sides he plays against each season in SL then i'll dye my hair red

JP must be a good player if this is the biggest criticism Keith can come up with despite his particularly deep seated psychological issues with regard to both Leeds and GB/England players

I know it will give him a boost because all his postings are a clear cry for the attention that he's never gotten from people in his real life away from the keyboard, where people barely notice his existence day upon day year upon year. He's angry and frustrated at the world never noticing him and want's others to feel that same anger that consumes him by trying to provoke folk on here with inane views. But he fails as people don't feel anger towards him just lots and lots........and lots of pity. Don't worry Keith, we've noticed you buddy even if the rest of the world won't, and we're here for ya!

It's an effective method at SL level as Peacock has proven on countless occasions. It doesn't work at international level against Australia and it definitely wouldn't work in the NRL unless used as an occasional surprise tactic.
There'll be no NRL clubs queueing up to sign Peacock at his age and level of crockedness, and there'll be no NRL clubs overly impressed with his 180 degree pirouetting technique at the point of impact either. He'd just get smashed into oblivion whilst his offloads would become loose ball contests for possession.
I agree with your earlier post - a 2 year contract is a questionable deal at his age. Perhaps this thread ought to be renamed Leeds Approaching Millstones? Peacock being the obvious one now.

| I don't think Peacock is the sort of player who would continue playing where he would be a liability. He may well call it a year short of he can no longer produce the goods.

Well JP used the 'pirouett' ploy to good effect against the top NRL club in the WCC didn't he? He may no longer be able to 'chasse' past the opposition as he once did but his technique made it difficult for the Manly forwards to get hold of his Tutu I seem to remember

It's time to quit when your only desperate retort is the selective referencing of a pre-season warm-up game as indisputable evidence of greatness, notwitstanding the convenient absence of any game-breaking pirouetting stats to back up your assertion. Nothing new there.
OTOH, if you could point me in the direction of Peacock's pirouetting technique causing problems at international level particularly against Australia, I'd be very grateful.
You can't?
Thought not.

Ok I would agree it is time for you to quit!
Funny how you choose to be selective when it suits your negative ramblings. You attempt to dismiss the fact that the pride of the NRL were bested by Leeds because it proves the paucity of your augument. It is you that has suggested JP spends his time reversing into the opposition and that this tactic only works in SL. As I pointed out Manly (a side full of Australian Internationals) had difficulty in coping with JP's technique particularly in the crucial final quarter. I suggest you take a look again at the replay of the WCC where you will be enlightened.
In the interests of accuracy ou may like to change your use of the word 'pirouetting' as this denotes a full rotation on one leg. Now had you used the term 'demi detourné' which is a half turn on both legs you may have been taken more seriously....but then again not
By the way if you could point me in the direction of the Australian team that won the World Club Championship this year I would be grateful?
You can't?

Signing Peacock for a further two years is certainly not the best business decision as far as playing staff is concerned: I can only assume the club has longer term coaching aspirations for him.

Nope, I didn't see any of that. I'm still waiting for those Peacock stats to back up your game-breaking assertions to enlightem me instead. How much longer do I have to wait?
Here's why James Graham was highly sought after by NRL clubs and why Jamie Peacock wasn't.
[u4N Final V Australia 2011[/u
Graham 35 tackles, 1 ineffective, 1 missed, 19 runs, 134 metres gained, 1 offload
Peacock 27 tackles, 3 ineffective, 2 missed, 8 runs, 64 metres gained, zero offloads
[uV Australia 2008[/u
Graham 33 tackles, 0 ineffective, 1 missed, 16 runs, 118 metres gained, 2 offloads
Peacock 34 tackles, 0 ineffective, 6 missed, 11 runs, 93 metres gained, zero offloads
Quote ="Juan Cornetto"In the interests of accuracy ou may like to change your use of the word 'pirouetting' as this denotes a full rotation on one leg. Now had you used the term 'demi detourné' which is a half turn on both legs you may have been taken more seriously....but then again not

No need because in the interests of accuracy, Peacock does invariably pirouette on one leg with his back turned at the point of impact, and in the absence of a Super League-esque offload under low-intensity SL match conditions (conspicuous by their absence at high-intensity international level against Australia of course) he then proceeds to continue through the full 360 degrees in order to position himself for his trademark and illegal quick PTB where the foot deliberately makes no contact with the ball.
Quote ="Juan Cornetto"By the way if you could point me in the direction of the Australian team that won the World Club Championship this year I would be grateful?'"
I can point you in the direction of NRL teams who have turned up more than a week in advance of the WCC and where some even play a warm up game in the UK in the week prior to the WCC if you like? And guess what? They win. No surprises there, even if it's still a pre-season warm-up game for them.

| Peacocks technique is actually known as hit and spin, effective to win the contact and speed up the play the ball as well as creating opportunities to offload.

Yes and he also usually keeps going forward as the tacklers lose their hit momentum as they are turned. Good technique
