Well, you've been so obsessed with the whole "been/being" issue for so long, the rest of the English language was going to pot. Somebody had to man up and get the situation under control.

OK, I will try and interpret your gibberish and respond to what I think you were trying to say.
Quote Only an buffoon would come on a thread and use an argument of non picked for one position in a subjective fantasy team as proof of not good enough.'" OK, I think you're trying, bless you, as best you can, to say that it's foolish to use a player's omission from the Dream Team as an indication that said player is not "good enough".
If that is what you're trying to say I should point out not only can you not type a sentence that is English (and I am not picking on typos, your post was gibberish) but that is not what I was actually saying.
I'd agree with your attempted proposition that it doesn't mean a player isn't good enough just because they don't make the dream team. However, when certain posters tell us that Buderus is head and shoulders above any other hooker in the league I think his lack of recognition by players and media alike for any individual honours during his time in Super league is good indicative evidence that is clearly not the case. If he were head and shoulders above, say Monaghan and Roby in anyone but Bywater's opinion I am sure he would have been so recognized.
Quote Whilst at the same time argue another player is the best despite not even been picked in two positions in the same team.
'" I've put this through the gibberish translator and it says you're claiming I've been inconsistent in claiming Hall is the best winger in the league but I can't claim that because Hall didn't take one of the two available wing spots in the Dream Team.
I can see some logic to that argument. I Gave my opinion that Hall deserves inclusion. I think that was a reasonable opinion. I don't think it's comparable with the Buderus situation because.
1. Hall has, unlike Buderus, gained selection over the last three seasons.
2. I've never claimed Hall was "head and shoulders above" any other winger in the league. I can see why Briscoe and Monaghan are there, I just think Hall should be ahead of at least one of them. You appear to agree, BTW.
Quote Hall's done is job and been very good at it. But it just so happens that other wingers in the comp have also stepped up to the plate this year and put in some terrific performances. There is only two spots available, and IMO rather than Briscoe the debatable spot is Monaghan, but only because of the level of competition.'"

I have been very impressed with Briscoe in attack, and would have him in the England side, probably with Hall on the other wing. Charnley seems the most likely competition, but may still be a bit raw for test RL. I think Briscoe needs a solid defensive centre on his inside though.'"
Speaking as a hull fan, Yeaman is a brilliant defender, and if Macnamara's worried about Briscoes defensive positioning ( which i have the full confidence in ), what better to do that play Yeaman inside him who he's been playing with all season.
For the record i think Yeaman was very lucky to get in the dream team.

Yeamo's defence isnt as solid as i'd like, but like you say, when he's there he's there. I'd like to see him play international rugby again but I think McBanana will over look him again.

surely not as both senior and gleeson won't be available for selection this time around, although id expect if both were available next season that they could both easily oust yeaman though

| Meh. Still don't rate Atkins. I suspect playing in that team to be making him appear to be better than he is.
I remain underwhelmed by English centres generally. It says a lot that Joel Tomkins might well be the best option.

| Ryan Atkins and Joel Tomkins would be my picks for England this season. Whether they would/will trouble the Aussies and the Kiwis is another matter but if you denied places in the England set-up on that basis we'd struggle to compete in a seven-a-side tournament.
Ryan Atkins at Hull last Friday surely went a fair way in silencing any critics out there?

Atkins last week was outstanding. Comfortably the best British centre in Super League. Although as you say, whether or not that accolade is enough to do anything at all against Australia & New Zealand is another matter.

'Playing for bigger clubs' shouldnt really give you an automatic place!
So you put Ade Gardner in over Ryan Hall with him been at a 'bigger' club?

| Atkins seems to have improved this season. I'm less convinced by Shenton in this position after his move to Saints, but would still have him ahead of a lot of the up and coming centres at the moment. J Tomkins would get my call alongside Atkins as he has the raw attributes in size, pace and power. If he carries on playing at centre I think he could be the next Senior...
As for the rest, I think Yeaman is a bit over-rated and doesn't have the attributes to be a top-class centre other than his one-on-one defence. Welham looks great going forward but like Charnley at Wigan doesn't tend to defend very well out wide. I'd put Watkins in the same bracket too.

| As a Hull fan you cant help but like Yeaman for his commitment. He is a full blooded player in defence and attack. However he isnt the kind of player who is going to win games, not against quality defences in the 4 nations anyway. If you want a safe option who will give 100% and not do much wrong either side of the ball and bash a few Aussies then hes the best we have. But if you are willing to sacrifice a few errors to have a gamebreaker in the team then go for Watkins.

| It's interesting to see that fans from other teams have Watkins in an England team when his own fans see he's clearly not ready and has plenty to work on to do a job for club. If people like Watkins are near an England start the national player pool is worse than ever. Watkins has bags of potential but hasnt even had solid run at club level.
