Thanks for the kind comments . I will pass them on . She needs to know that she iasn't the one who is in the wrong . She still insists that she wants to keep the issue a secret . As far as I am concerned he should have his mug on the front page of the YEP . Her injuries include fractured skull , broken jaw and nose , and severe swelling and bruising . All that just on her head . Other injuries ain't so obvious and easy to see .
The house is trashed . He was throwing her around so hard that both sofas are broken . The skull fractures are from the impact of him smashing her head against the wall .

Things are looking better now though . She will be ok , at least physically .

Oh what I would give for just two minutes alone with him . He is 6ft2" ish , and quite stocky build . She is about a foot shorter than him and weighs about 8st . Brave ain't he . Wonder if he would be as brave if it was me he had to hit .
Unfortunately the overdose he took wasn't successful .

Just had an update . Eye socket gone too . An officer told us that the *insert expletive in this space __________ * is looking at a charge of attempted murder and possibly ten years away.
Have put the girls to bed now and they have settled down . The baby went straight off . The three yr old took some getting off . I ain't ashamed to admit that I had to wipe my eyes while she was crying for her mummy . The six year old got in with her and got her calmed down . Five mins of snuggles from her big sis did the trick .
Biggest problem today has been finding clothes and accessories for them . Although we now have yet another set of keys for the house , we are not allowed to enter it because it is a crime scene . (Saying that though .. Mrs BR was taken down there earlier to feed their dog . The dog has licked a lot of the bloodstains clean before the SOCO team had taken pictures ). Luckily we have the numbers for a few of the other mums from school . They have rallied round and we now have a pushchair and clothes etc for the girls .

My next problem is that we can only have the girls here for a few days . Mrs BR's health ain't too good , and the stress is making her worse . I know we can hand the girls over to Social Services , but I really don't want to do that . I don't Know if I could ever forgive myself if I was to do that and it lead to a long term seperation of the girls from their mum . I have thought long and hard about it . I honestly think that the girls do deserve to be somewhere where their needs can be ermmm.. Not better catered for .. But .. ermm . I lost for words here . As much as we would like to keep them we have neither the room nor the facilities to cater for a long stay .

Over to you guys . Help me out here . I really do not know which way to deal with this .

She won an award and went for lunch at the Civic Hall with the Lord Mayor . Was in paper on Thursday I think .

Been a good week . We would never have thought it was heading for such a train-wreck finale .

After watching the rugby the other afternoon my mrs began surfing the t'internet and dilly-dallying etc so i said "ok, you surf the net im off to play on my PS3" she muttered "ok fine" but after my return from my computer im met with the crossed arms maneuver you have previously described and a furrowed brow. "you've been 3 hours!!!" she moaned. "and?" i replied. this did not go down well, should i have invited her to play on the PS3 with me?

I would suggest that you introduce her slowly to the PS3, try "Call of Duty - Matalan Ops" to start with and "The Jimmy Choo Chronicles" or other retail experience platform games, or alternatively get a Wii and have it chipped so that it will run the modified "Wii Fit" exercise board, the one that lies about your weight by minus 28 pounds and gives you a Wii age of 16 no matter how unco-ordinated you are on it.

Your computer will be yours once again, within hours.

Mr field, my foot doesn’t seem to be healing and I have no one to turn to but you. You might remember the time when I dialled 999 and then spoke about my experience on the sinbin. It didn’t go down too well and I’ve been paranoid to contact a doctor ever again in relation to foot pain because of that experiance!

What alternative healing methods do you recommend?

Well this is an interesting subject firstly because we don't know exactly what part of your foot is not healing so we'll start with your toes - if you are having problems with your toes and have reached the end of your tether with them then I always recommend a swift self-amputation* by means of slamming them in a door or standing too close to the edge of the pavement when a First Direct bus comes past, you won't be able to balance properly for a few days but as everyone knows a human's toes will re-grow in the same way that a starfish can re-grow a leg, if in any doubt then watch "Carry on Screaming" for confirmation, you even bear a resemblance to Oddbod so you've got a head start.

If however the problem is heel-related then can I recommend a Pifco Foot-Spa just like the one that we've had stored in our loft for twenty years having used it once when it was purchased and decided that it was simpler and cheaper to just sit on the kitchen worktop and dabble your feet in the sink, especially with the washing-up in the sink as swishing your feet around in the water tends to wash the dishes at the same time.

Having doused your feet liberally in the sink and done the washing up at the same time you will need to file down your heels, or "buffing" as women call it, I can recommend a No10 Stanley Rasp File, the one with the handles at both ends so you can get a really good grip, or alternatively try a Dewalt orbital sander set to "high speed" - the intention is to take off that tough heel skin which you will have softened in the sink with the washing up, press on quite hard with the orbital sander and you'll find good results especially if you have fitted the "very very co" sand sheets first.

I'm sure that after both of these suggestions you'll be walking just fine within weeks **
