Maybe a step too far this time....BUT if this is the "transtional" year - and I believe it should be - then this is the season to experiment and blood the youngsters. (That's why I'm so disappointed with the close season decision to [inot[/i have Ambler and Hardaker in this year's squad ...whilst we persist with Kirke and Senior in particular !!)

Also Burrow looked 'all at sea' again against Warrington after a more promising start. We need to be looking at the alternatives...so it's a good opportunity to blood the two young forwards AND (IMO) McShane and Hood. If we lose the game so be it... the only real silverware we have any chance of winning this year is the CC - subject to the draw of course - so let's experiment

This might get laughed off (especially after our start) but I still see no reason why we won't be competing for all three trophies. League Leaders Shield will be the hardest of lot, and obviously the least likely, but still possible IMO.

Just totally writing off every game as "oh well" and throwing loads of youngsters in at every chance isn't what I'd call "transitioning". More like, "Suicide".

Hardaker looked out of his depth physically last night - he would get murdered at SL level - he needs a serious off season to build some bulk.

Due to unforeseen circumstances I'm missing my first home match for possibly 3+ years tonight. I've had to miss one or two before but they've been on TV. This one, I'm properly missing. I shall be watching Warrington get a cricket score with the sound off and Yorkshire Radio on though.

No doubt you lot will fill me in on how well we played, and the highlights (if there are any!) are usually on before the Sky match tomorrow.
