I don`t think we should be using the injuries as an excuse.
Basically we have McGuire and JP missing.
The other 2 Kylie and Delaney some people on here were saying should have been shipped out last season so no real loss there even though Delaney has played well in the SR.
But we have Hauraki to replace him now.
Wire have as many out as us.
Depends on which Leeds team turns up but no excuses on the injuries this time.

Wire dismantled Saints with clinical ease last week, if they hadn't taken their foot of the gas it would have been a walk-over.

We, on the other hand, looked disorganised and ineffective.

Personally I think they will be too strong in the forwards for us. If we can pull it off I would be surprised anyway.

I know there's been all this talk about how bad our defence has been and to an extent it has but there havent been many tries scored past us by teams breaking us down. We have conceded a lot of kick tries and a few comedy tries too. They all count though and we need to sort that out.

Lee Briers specializes in both of these, so could be long night.

And you have played 3 teams that will be up there at the end of the year... we have played a semi decent Bradford team, a clueless Hull and a confident Quins. TBF though I would expect all 3 of the teams we have faced to lose to the teams you have.

kinda worked for us, we gave rhys evans his second ever sl appearence the first being the week after wembley last year away at quins and half a side were playing but he came out and put his name in for first team, same as matty blythe really wasnt a first team player and spent last year at leigh but now id probably say along with j monas, benny and solamona hes been our best so far this season

And what about all the trys that have come off the back of pish-poor marker defence (a half decent hooker will tear us to pieces) and lazy forwards getting back the 10. We flood metres and position. That is a huge problem and shouldn't be brushed under the carpet. Rhinos collectively need to dig in and put in a shift. It's not rocket science, it's only rugby.

Thinking about it, every time I go to Wire expecting us to get spanked, we win, and every time I go expecting us to win we get turned over (which is rarer as I usually expectus to lose there for some reason, it brings out my pessimistic side). So the fact that I'm expecting us to lose on Saturday might well bode well.

More objectively, the thought of what the likes of Monaghan and Higham, who both like to pick up and go from DH, might do to our marker defence if it doesn't improve, fills me with a more logical anxiety.

Absolutely spot on. We look really tired. Ali was blowing after about 10 minutes. Our fitness worries me. I think we'd be better putting sinfield back loose and play either Webb or smith at stand off. Sinfield isn't fast enough for stand off and our pack suffers without him.

Looking forward to welcoming all the travelling support to the HJ. I just hope this time the Rhinos players decide to turn-up and actually give us a game.

McShane included in U20s squad, so i would think Webb is definatley back, and one of Bailey and Ablett, hopefully both though with Smith 18th man

I dont get the Internet coaches. Senior is not a 2nd row, he may play there from time to time in the odd game to cover injury but when we have options in the squad why would we want to lose his threat out wide by sticking him in the pack.

Add to that the fact Senior does not want to play there and i find it difficult to believe he will line up in the 2nd row.

McShane is pants and won't get near the squad this season when players are fit. Even in an injury crisis he still can't get a game.

He's a defensive liability, and the fact he cant get in the team at the moment says quite a lot
