| I thought Bailey stood up more than most yesterday and looked like a one man motivation team at one point in the 2nd half. I don't buy he was awful. Leeds fans who understand rugby can see the positives he brings to the team. He doesn't hide, but doesn't do quite enough with the ball for me to be a real top quality prop forward. I'll say what I said on the Wire board - when JP and Moz retire - there won't be many better English props in SL.
Having said all that, he let himself down with the cheap shot at the end - should know better

You'd be correct with regards to him not being one of the big earners at Leeds.
His salary is a good indicator of the value he provides to the team.

| Bailey should concentrate on improving his game rather than his reputation. He trys to play the tough guy with his cheap shots and mouthing off into the faces of other players. Fact is he isn't that good of a player to gain a reputation as one of the games formidable forwards. He will never be a peacock and certainly not a Morley.

Please provide evidence of this FACT, otherwise this is pure conjecture and should be treated as opinion and not FACT.

Can't believe you ban someone for daring to critisize a Leeds player. It's this arrogance that brings everyone on your forums taunting you every time you lose.
And for what it's worth I think everything he said is correct, Ryan Bailey is a coward.

I'll bet you the ban was more to do with blatantly criticising the moderation process and generally being a pain in the . People spend half their lives on here criticising Leeds players.
It's not because we're arrogant. It's because we're winners at the moment. When another team has a period of sustained success the idiots, including ours, will migrate to their boards instead.

Wow, new here i guess. You should look at other forums, yours included, to see this is the most tolerated forum on rl fans. Or are you just another one looking for a cheap bite?

He makes lots of tackles......2nd/3rd man in.
Niggles the opposition? He winds them up for sure, but often it just seems to motivate them to play better against us. Look at some of the performances james graham hasa put in against us in the past. Bailey will have a sly digg and then graham will be driving the ball in like a man posessed.
Cheers bailey.
It's like saying every opposition fan would LOVE....gareth haggerty in their team.
errm, not really.

I totally disagree with everything you have said..........Bailey does more than enough to justify his place in the 17 and is a far better player than you seem to give him credit for. He might not knock holes in a defensive line often but he is defensively sound and far more astute at gaining an advantage than most props.

By enlarge, I agree with your sentiments; however, although I can usually stomach some of his cheaper shots as "winding up the opposition", some of his actions at the end of the game on Saturday were embarrassing to say the least.

| Bailey gave a poor performance along with most of a badly beaten pack. The exceptions were JJB who gave his all and Eastwood who, when he was on, at least tried to combat the Wires dominance up front. I think why Bailey comes in for so much stick with many fans is that he is built up to be a far better player than he really is. He showed a complete lack of skill and awareness in not scoring in the crucial opening minutes when we were on top and so lost us the momentum that could have altered the game. As he drove for the line he had two players in front to his left. Bailey chose to step to the left and into them and was then overwelmed mainly by the fullback. Had he driven low to his right away from these players he would have grounded the ball.
Other players also were held up over the line but they didn't have as clear a chance to score as Bailey did. So it is fair comment to point this out as it is to record the pathetic display of Kirk whose paperweight tackle cost us 6 points.

I don't really rate Kirke and I thought he little better than useless on Saturday. However, Ryan Hall broke the line and took Atkin's dummy, which left Kirke in a recoverable but, difficult position. A 50/50 responsibility there I feel.
............Actually, 60/40 if you account for the fact that Hall found himself in an unusual position.
