The only things that have kept players out of our matches have been injury or illness. And I think now the whole of our squad has been injured or ill this season, unlike last season when we hardly saw any injuries or illness. We've been thinking it's perhaps the change in conditioner (for the injuries anyway) as we had an alarming amount of injuries at one stage.

Well having suffered shoulder injuries in the past i can tell you it's very relevant, especially in the tackle!!'"
Yes, it's irrelevant. You may have had injuries but unless you are a medic you cannot comment upon the initial source of the injury. Jammer may or may not have exacerbated the injury by staying on the field but that doesn't change the initial diagnosis: injury to the rotator cuff as a direct result of the chicken wing tackle.

So what? Is Kylie going to be telling the truth? Remorse is one of the factors taken into consideration by the RFL when considering punishments. Therefore, Kylie apologising could be perceived as remorse, so it was a neat move by Kylie to apologise. Covered his own back.
And even if Kylie was sincere, why should Jammer accept his apology? This isn't cricket you know (mind you, there is sledging in cricket so even cricket no longer relies upon conventions of sportsmanship to tick along). There is nothing to say in sportsmanship that a rugby league player has to accept an apology for a bad tackle (whether unintended or not) from another rugby league player.
If Bluey is going to start a character assassination of Graham then he had better be careful. Calling people's professional reputations into question in print is a dodgy road to travel.

No, because they were your injuries. His injuries are not going to affect him in the way that yours affected you. I'm sure you have read about not taking other people's medicines even if the symptoms all look the same as the person offering the medicine to you? It really isn't rocket science, you know.
You aren't a medic. Therefore, your comments relating to Graham's injury are irrelevant.

No i'm not but i'm also not buying the c##p that graham misses the dragons game just because of jjb's tackle when he played on for the rest of the match and tackled and passed as if nothing had happened.
I bet he'd be playing if it were the play-offs this week.

Why do you call him "Jammer"? It's far too close the slang term we used as kids for tampons (and I mean the huge furry things from days of old - not the space age micro sponges they use now).
Every time I hear the name "Jammer" I think of the time me and my mates found a huge, blood soaked one by the side of the road.

what like this borderline slanderous statment....
Quote St Helens will be without England forward James Graham for Friday's last match of the regular engage Super League season against Catalans Dragons at the GPW Recruitment Stadium because of a shoulder injury.
Saints say the reigning Man of Steel has failed to recover from the "chicken-wing" tackle by Leeds forward Jamie Jones-Buchanan during a fiery clash at Headingley last Friday.
A Saints spokesman said: "He has damaged his rotator cuff tendon in his left shoulder, which is causing more instability in the joint. This is a direct result of the chicken-wing tackle."

I am not sure tvoc's comment was funny, I think it was a genuine hope. It is always difficult to drop any player but one as talented as Graham undoubtley is, would be very hard BUT you must think that Potter has to do something about his behaviour and can't just let it pass?
I would have been happy for Graham not to have shaken JJB's (and maybe a couple of others) hand at the end of the game but ignoring the whole side is really, really low. As tvoc has said, this is not footie or netball for that matter!

A good sportsman would accept a genuine apology. It shows bad judgement and/or a lack of sportsmanship on Graham's part to refuse to accept it but it's hardly a surprise now is it.

I said i doubted he was missing the dragons game just because of the "jjb tackle" and that the damage to his shoulder will of been enhanced from him playing on!!
Add to that i also think if it was the play-offs this week he'd be playing and the statement released by saints is propaganda because jjb only got 1 match and appealed.

Kylie apologised there and then, I am not sure it was remorse as such but an acknowledgement that he was wrong. I do agree that Graham might not want to accept the apology at the time but to behave like that at the end of the game is really a sign of poor character IMO. Kylie pleaded guilty to the offence as well... and that his totally his call according to Bluey and the clubs own internal 'code'.
I am not sure Bluey has or needs to do that... Mr Graham is making a great job of that all on his own!

Well, you're a Leeds fan so I would expect you to unconditionally accept that Leuluai was genuine. I'm not a Leeds fan and so I am as skeptical about his apology as many on here are about the authenticity of Graham's injury.
Quote A good sportsman would accept a genuine apology. It shows bad judgement and/or a lack of sportsmanship on Graham's part to refuse to accept it but it's hardly a surprise now is it.'"
I'd agree that Graham's judgement was probably not the best on Friday generally but I wouldn't change him for anything as the same fire that causes him to act authentically - ie not put on a show for the sake of 'sportsmanship' - also causes him to be a standout player. I am happy to take the deal where Jammer is concerned.
As for sportsmanship ... if Leeds fans really believed in it, they wouldn't be on here defending JJB's tackle, which fans of most other teams appear to be seeing quite clearly as a chicken wing and therefore wrong as it is a potential career ending tackle which was entirely unnecessary. However, I see little in the way of criticism for JJB's actions, plenty in trying to blame Graham for it instead, so I can hardly take seriously the descriptions on here of what it means to be sportsmanlike.
A true sportsman would have admitted to his wrongdoing, when it is inescapable that he did do what he did (for all to see on Sky), which JJB is not doing, and true sportspeople generally would say fair enough to him being punished for the same.
