Newport is no worse than other parts of Britain to be fair.

Just to put it into perspective union fans come during winter every other week and enjoy their time in Newport and at Newport RFC. There were two Saints fans who came to the Crusaders-Catalan game yesterday who stayed in Newport as 'they like it, and their missus can go shopping'. As yet there are no reports of them having been beaten, murdered and their bodies chopped up. I will keep you up to date though.

Similar problem if you have been a cheapskate and gone for the non-refundable advance fares

its straight down the M4 from bridgend area. the tickets are cheaper than the brewery the facilities are better. if your travelling 270+ miles whats a few extra. besides it was in the applications for the license that some games would have to be played on the road and being one of the biggest fixtures on the list you could have been pretty certain it was one of the ones to be moved.

That's not the issue. The issue for supporters, I'm sure, is the timing.

Celtic have know their fixture list since the back end of the year, well before the fixtures were actually made public. When the lists are made public, supporters make travel and accomodation arrangements. That Celtic have waited until this point to make the decision, rather than making in back in December, is the sore point and for that there can be few excuses.

Is there an issue that has meant that Rodney Parade has suddenly and unexpectedly become available? Has this move been known about for a while or has it only just been decided? The latter two, IMO, would understandably irritate potential visitors.

I've cancelled our trip. I wouldn't mind going to Newport if it was the original venue but to switch it at this stage isn't acceptable. The RFL are still running it like amateurs.

the rfl have little to do with it, its up to the clubs to agree a move of stadium

The club (Crusaders) kept the rfl and Leeds Rhinos up to date with everything from day one of making the decision and Leeds and the rfl were not against the idea.

Have you cancelled your Catalan trip then because the kick off time has been changed twice within the last month?

Oh come on OR there is a slight difference between changing the time and changing the venue.
Plus unlike the Quins game I doubt that anyone has arranged their journey to and from the game based on the original time.

NO its not LEEDS fans complaining over nothing a lot booked months ago to come down stay in Bridgend walk across the road the walk back into town not have to catch trains that will be packed as theres a big sell out gig on in cardiff,

one involves a car/road(possible even train) trip, one involves a plane flight....which is easiest to change?
