I thought Senior along with Sinfield, Ali, and Smith were simply outstanding against Manly.

Bring back Jamie Lyon quick to Saints is all I say. Senior tore him apart yesterday.

Personally thought he was one of our best players. Always looked strong and caused havoc down that left hand side in the 2nd half.

I wish more people would do the same.

Keith now is like Newy in say 2000/2001 ish.

He's no longer a significant attacking threat but will do a solid job. He's had a fine career but his firmly now on "t'other" side of the hill

Lyon helped him at times last night with some bizzare charging in when not required.

Hall could be a useful replacement long term - has good build for a centre and looks like he has the nouse to play at top level.

Have a look at where Watmough's breaks in the first half actually came. They were way inside the centres, basically off Lauitiiti's inside shoulder.

Leeds defend "up and in" out wide on both sides. It's a structure that challenges the opposition to go around you by clogging up the inside. Unlike most SL sides however, Manly were skilfull enough to get around the outside with their ball skills.

Senior bottled it once again against the Aussies im affraid. Most of the time he was a dear in headlights! Shocking game. Young Hall wasnt scared senior should be ashamed of himself.

Truly shocked at that, what ball skills does a good winger need? and when hasn't he shown them?, did you see where he came from to make the try saving tackle that would of killed the game off even more than it was in the second half?

I thought Senior had a good game last night. He does miss Donald on the outside of him, but I don't see what else could be done. He could have disappeared after the first ten minutes of the second half, but he didn't he rose to the challenge as I would expect a senior member of the team to do.
I think all the team gave 100%

thought he was outstanding and if donald had of been outside him we could easily have scored a couple more with his pace. hall is stronger but doesn't have donalds explosive pace

Couldn’t have said it better myself mate - just watched the game again (for the third time now) and the contribution that senior made to the game far out-weighed the couple of errors he made.

And when he broke the line it might have helped if Hall had been behind him a pace or two and not alongside him – as said before, with Donald outside him I’m sure we’d have scored a couple more.

That said with Ablett and Hall on the other side we’d have conceded a bucket-load.

As I've mentioned elsewhere....why does Ablett (who I do like ...BUT in the back row) seem to be again commanding that bl**dy right centre spot - twice now this season already - over the likes of Gibson ??!!? Get Scotty back on left wing and move Senior over periodically during the game to right centre (which was effective last season) if Gibson is out of favour for whatever reason. ..OR sign somebody....PLEASE

This was mentioned in the pub last night that there was at least one occasion when Hall was put out away by senior that had it been Donald a try would have resulted.

Some would point out that we won last years GF because of Abletts performance at right centre, while others would say we won despite his place at right centre.

The reason Ablett is there now is because the young players are not ready, gibson being the pick of them spent most of last year injured and needs to be allowed as much time as he needs to get back to where he was. I'd have given him more game time up to now though. Add to the fact management dropped a clanger by not bringing in an established pro then quite simply we have no one else to play week in week out other than second row Ablett. With little production coming from our right teams can simply focus more on handling senior much more effectively in pre game preparations.

Hopefully over the next 8 months somone will be good enough to stake that position for themselves.

I agree with all of that except the need to bring someone in in the meantime.

Those bagging Ablett should remember he is being played out of position and asked to do a difficult job for the team. Its' certainly not aiding his game. It reminds me of JJB playing prop in 2005. JJB got loads of stick from 95% of the fekkwitts on here back then in similar circumstances. Now he's a hero.

Don't know about that but he did shuffle inside a spot when Watkins replaced Burrow in the 16th minute due to an illegal challenge by Watmough which was well spotted by the referee.

Yes so did i, i also saw him throw it into the stand twice and when he scored he put it down in a panic as a Aussie was coming for him. Face it he wasnt upto it!
