What's happened to Baldwinson and Tonks?

I know they came back from NZ and went on loan to Bradford, but haven't see their names in the 2015 Leeds squad no's.

Alot of hype surrounded players like Singleton and Stevie Ward. 2016 is the season they have to deliver.

Part of the first-team squad but not in the top 25. Probably heading out on loan.

A reliable source has informed me that the no. 25 shirt will be given to a certain Paul Gallen.

Cool - and he's only 33, spring chicken by comparison.

Promote the youth send them out on loan then sign a cheap veteran

Gallen is mightily peeved off with the whole Cronulla/ASADA thing, so it's not beyond the realms of possibility he jacks his Origin and international career to top up his pension pot in the UK.

He wouldn't be cheap though, which probably puts him outside GH's salary bracket.

Pahahaha..... The Paul Gallen who'd attract offers of around $900k per year in Aus.... Of course he'd come to Super league...

Nice to see the young lads getting new deals but this season they need to step up a notch and start turning potential into performances

With which NRL team in particular?

Wouldn't he do better staying in the NRL to top up the pension?

As much as I would be very happy if we signed Gallen cannot see it happening at all.

No club in SL could afford Paul Gallen - he will be one of the highest paid players in the NRL, one of the best too.

One thing is certain clearing out Bailey and Kirke isn't going to be enough. No way Gallen would give up SOO just as NSW have turned a corner.

I hope Gary's tight purse strings don't come back to haunt us in a few years time if Morgan Smith fulfils his potential and turns out to be another like the class of Harris and McGuire in their prime.

What is the situation re Mulhern?
I like his basic size & he seemed to go ok in at least one game for Ireland but he does not seem to figure in our plans yet?
Too old for the academy?

So assuming we don't bring anybody in then the No.25 shirt will be either Luke Briscoe or Mulhern.

Maybe Luke can share the no.2 shirt with his brother. Either is just as likely to anonymously score so few tries this coming season in the same starved position regardless. zzzzzzz

I don't think its a bad move by the club.

Minns Tonks and Foster are way down the pecking order and unlikely to feature even with a few injuries.Baldwinson is probably 6th or 7th in line for a front row slot this year but may jump up the pecking order next year with the retirements.better to have 20 odd games played for a quality championship side under his belt than a couple of token sub apperances for us when it happens so i see the logic.
