Watkins played for Latchford, forgive me if I'm wrong but that's a Warrington club.
Briscoe your latest academy product?
The legendary Jamie Peacock.... the ex Bradford player
Hardaker is another Leeds academy player too, that's if Featherstone is a Leeds junior side?
So you stopped being silly now?
Harrison, Riley, Cooper, Wood, Briers been here since a teenager,
Also we've had Glenn Riley, Currie, Rhys Evans and Williams, Tyrone Mccarthy, Grix, O'Brien, Dwyer, Laithwaite and Saltonstall.'"
That's fair comment ,although JP is a Leeds man who comes from the same area as JJB as does the legendary Ryan Bailey.

Why are you quoting Leeds in this regard?
The original comment & comparison was with your opponents on Saturday or are you too thick to understand the basis of the comments & the debate?

| I'm not too thick at all, we have people who slag off the club for circumstances way beyond it's controll, we are told we don't bring enough through yet we have a very small talent pool, if anything I think Wire do well all considering, out academy sides punch way above their weight comparing geographical statistics.
Besides if a Leeds fan is comparing us to Wigan that it is entirely fair to quote the Leeds system for comparison.
I like Leeds, I love their systems of working but you have more natural resources so you are able to make the most of them, we don't have the resources but or import budget is vastly higher than yours so we utilise that resource.
Play to your strengths rather than move the goalposts because you're stronger in a particular area, if Wire had more amateur clubs or 3 and a quarter the times population and sure we could do it the Wigan and Leeds way.

All would make sense apart from your comment about Watkins playing for a Warrington club. Why talk about lack of playing talent in "your area" just after pointing out Leeds seem to go far and wide to recruit young players - actually highlighting one example where you failed to spot or recruit a current international. This would seem to prove that any club can recruit from anywhere and local population is absolutely irrelevant. You are being far too touchy, massively overreacting to a couple of lines from one poster.
I don't give a monkey's where Warrington got their team from. Most of us don't.

My gut feel is that Wigan will win. they have a great record in finals, and have a very mean defence'"
Got it in one for me!!!! I'm slightly leaning toward wanting Warrington to win this one.... I think if it was us v Wigan in the GF then Tony Smith would prefer us to win. As much as I cant do with Briers whining..... he's a god send almost when compared to Sean "cheapshot" O Loughlin and Ratface Sam Tomkins and weird brother!

| I don't really see what everyone's problem is with O'Loughlin. Aside from looking like Todd Flanders, he's a quality player. Will he be fit to play on Saturday?
I have no special objection to Sam Tomkins either.
Traditionally I haven't been Briers' biggest fan, mostly because he had such a long history of b!tching and bleating to the detriment of actually using his god-given talent when it mattered. He seems to have fixed that under Tony Smith and is finally, belatedly, something like the player he could have been. So again, no real problem with him winning trophies either.
I hope it's a good game, and I hope whoever plays better on the day gets the result. I also hope it's won by good play rather than errors.

| On the upside ...
It would be good to see Tony Smith and Mozza on the winning side.
A winner's ring would also be a good sendoff for Pat Richards, who I think is an admirable player.
On the downside ...
Either ratboy or Briers will get to paw their grubby mitts over the trophy.
On balance, heart definitely says Warrington, head says don't know but hope for a good close game.

| I want warrington to win. If wigan win they'll be on 3 super league titles so will move a step closer to our total. If wire win, yay, they have one, barely makes a dent.
Of course both have plusses for losing. If warrington lose, it's going to be 59 years since the last title and we see a major rival with back to back grand final defeats. If wigan lose we get to seem them lose a major final (doesn't happen often ) and we won't have to put up with their intolerable fans.
It's a shame they can't both lose.
Overall, on the fact they haven't done it in donkeys years, new name on the trophy and the smith connection it's warrington for me.

| In all honesty I don't really care who wins today. But last night I was going through the Grand Final Gold things that Sky Sports did last week and made it to 2005 and without exception all of them were cracking games.
As long as it's not another CC Final like this year it should be a great advert for the sport and the way both Wire and Wigan are playing I don't think I can call this one but if pushed... Wire by 7.

| I'll stick with Wigan to win. The key part is the 10 mins before and after Half-time when Wire make that triple change of the front row, maybe start with O'Loughlin on the bench and bring on his experience at that time.
Joel Monaghan might not get as much joy out of kicks to the corner up against Richards so maybe expect Briers to aim ones 10m in or for the grubbers for Westwood to go for. If I was a Wire fan I'd be worried about Bridge, he for me has the most potential to give away a stupid penalty and momentum (ala Scott Moore in 2011).
