If a child killer/abuser was murdered in jail I'd shrug my shoulders and say 'never mind'. It's still wrong though.

So how should they should be dealt with ? I back the death penalty for certain offences . The punishment should be as severe as the crime committed. I would aslo back burglary victims been allowed to visit the home of the offender and helping themselves to the contents of their house .

Custodial sentence and rehabilitation ? That has been proven not to be a major deterrent . The number of re-offenders you read about backs that fact . And before you ask me to back that argument up there is no way I am putting that in a search on my computer .

what makes paedophiles worse though than a range of other crimes though? those you have selected are comparatively minor crimes in most cases (although can still take lives/ruin lives) but what about others guilty of murder or rape or anything else along those lines? Why only paedophiles?

Just because people don't think people should be able to take the law into there own hands, or they don't believe the death penalty should be used doesn't mean they are in any way condoning the actions.

Is there any proof that in places where the death penalty exists the number of people committing the offences is any less? (I am sure I read once that the figures were similar but not 100% sure)

Personally if the pedo was ill educated I’d make him listen to a recovered victim of paedophilia for two years in a cell so it can be drilled in what’s right and what’s wrong.

I can't deny the FACT that my opinions on this subject may sound too severe , but if anyone were to harm a child of mine then I would like to see them suffer before they die . I certainly wouldn't want them to be back in society after a couple of years 'rehabilitation' .

This is getting a bit tad unfair now on LS13 and I would like you to stop please.

Personally I don’t think its even right for a 20 year old to go out with a 16 year old - I certainly wouldn’t. However Johnny I praise your relationships commitment and I hope to hear wedding bells sooner or later - commitment is what makes me smile in life. After all not all 20 year olds who go out with 16 year old are pervs and you certainly wasn’t. Its just that a subject like this divides a lot of us and would be best left to the side now IMO.

There has been a lot of debate recently about the female teacherand a 15 yr old female pupil . They were a 'couple' , but that was still wrong and the teacher deservedly got a custodial . Any sex act with a minor is statutory rape according to the law .
