An easy cup draw for the rhinos after a succession of really tough cup draws against whipping boy SL rabble. It's about time they had some luck. Very unfortunate to have been drawn away from home again though. That's twice in succession now and means they've been drawn away from home 6 times out of the last 20 cup draws. In the interests of balance and fairness, I expect them to be drawn at home at least 8 times out of the next 10.

I'm sure you were equally up in arms about the incredibly tough run Leeds had in 2010: Hull - Blackpool - Wigan - Saints. 3 of the top 5 in SL. That's got to be a fix right?

Most of it's just depressing cynicism dressed as some sort of satire.
I suspect KS is far too intelligent to actually believe half the stuff he posts...he is leagues ahead of the average troll.
Once you get used to his mind-numbing monotony and predictability it becomes much more easy to ignore most of it.

We in Leigh are made up we have got the world club champions at home, we don't get to see world class players very often.

One of the posters on the Wigan board was droning on about Saints having received home draws on 78% of occasions during some timeframe that I can't recall details of. In light of this I'd like to propose that the RFL rig the draw to give us 9 out of the next 10 at home. Can't believe the bias they're showing towards Saints.

We know now why you are called the whinos - accept you have drawn us and shut up. Dont think for one minute you are going to get an easy game, we had Catalans rattled last year and we didnt get to this stage by sitting on our s. Our fans will drown you out and not make it easy !!!!!

Tough, tough draw for the rhinos that year wasn't it? Hull... my god! How tough are they to beat? Blackpool... ouch! Wigan... can't get much tougher than that. In fact Leeds are so unlucky with cup draws they've drawn Wigan no less than 3 times in recent years... all at home of course, in 2007, 2008 and 2010. Fancy drawing Saints in the SF... how unlucky is that? If only there'd been a championship club or a whipping boy SL rabble club still left in the competition at that stage. There wasn't BTW.

Just to reiterate as I made a slight error earlier, here's the rhinos exceedingly unlucky cup draw record in recent years...

Drawn at home 15 times out of the last 21... London/Quins 3 times, Wigan 3 times, Crusaders 2 times, Saints, Warrington, Workington, Rochdale, Blackpool, Pia and Wakefield all once.

Drawn away 6 times out of last 21... Hull 2 times, Leigh 2 times, London/Quins and Salford once.

Very unlucky draws in semi finals too during the same period... Toulouse, Huddersfield and Cas once each, but Saints twice!!! That's just not fair.

Yep... rhinos are the unluckiest club in SL with regard to cup draws and it's about time they got some draws which favoured them.

Nope. Obviously a change of heart. It's still showing on the 'Live on Sky' schedule that they are covering two matches one on the Friday evening and one Sunday evening but according to the RFL website they are only covering one match and BBC 2.

It appears Sky had an option to show two games and have decided only to show one...

Not sure that it financially affects either team that badly - if the TV fee is only £20k as rumoured then it's probably not far from the marginal impact on crowd size and revenue that TV coverage produces.

How much do the clubs get for a televised super league match?

IIRC nothing per match, the £1m+ per season is considered enough to be getting on with.
