| Quote rhino2009="rhino2009"There is now a space available on the overseas quota which GH might want to fill or he could leave until the end of the season. The Tigers continually deny the Chase rumours. Anybody else mentioned?'"
My understanding was that the non fed trained quota was 5 for 2011 and Leeds only had 4 with Delaney, Buderus, Cross and Hauraki (Webb, Leuluai and Lauitiiti being exempt.)
If that is true, Hetherington has had a non fed trained quota space available all season and done nothing with it, so not sure having two available for the rest of the season will make much of a difference to be honest.

| Have Webb, Leuluai and Lauitiiti been given exemption from the "overseas player" quota of 5 as well?
Certainly Delaney, Buderus and Cross would be on there - Leulaui and Lauitiiti may be exempt anyway under Samoan passports but if it also included Hauraki and Webb then Leeds would have been at the maximum already this season.

| As I understood it at the time their (Donald, Webb, Leuluai and Lauitiiti) exemptions followed on from the successful Gene/Finnigan challenges on the basis they were already playing in this country at the time the new designations were introduced in 2008.

I know, but I wasn't sure whether that was exemption from overseas designation, non-Fed designation or both? It seems to slip under the radar of a lot of fans that the maximum of five overseas players (basically ones who don't have the right as an EU National or a National of somewhere with a relevant trade agreement to work in the UK without a work permit) still runs alongside the non-Fed trained rules.

I'm not surprised that slips under many people's radars. I'll retire from the conversation before I embarrass myself any further by pretending that group doesn't include me.

| I think we'll see no replacement for Senior, as I can't see Delaney getting moved into the 2nd row when it's one of our deepest positions (we have JJB, Ablett, Kirke, Pitts, Clarkson & Hauraki there already).
Burrow-not sure, some good games and some bad games this season. Still think he's got it, and there's no top quality replacements.
Problem for me is props, though i think bringing Ambler & Amor back will partially solve this, plus the signing of Griffin, so I can see Leuluai going in the close season.

If Ian Kirke gets a new contract and or a regular start I'm gonna fly home buy a season ticket and burn it.

Burning your home's a bit extreme. Maybe you should burn Kirke's instead?

Thats no better than this year. Only JP and Griffin give you any go forward there - not enough. If Griffin has signed we need to keep Kylie or replace him leaving JP, Griffin and Kylie/New signing. Throw in the menace TMFMISL and you're onto a winner. We have some of the best backs in SL, but the props have are failing to put them onto the front foot.

| i know, and that's what worries me. I think that's what we will see, not what we should see. Ambler & Amor's stats would indicate they're ready for 1st team action, same with Pitts, and I'd like to see Clarkson in the squad more. Burrow does, for me, need repacing, and Hardaker's done nothing wrong also.
