| some of the fans aren't happy with Ferres' return, not because we don't rate him but because it appears Connor has been sacrificed to accommodate a player who, despite being a very good player, has contributed little to our season
i personally don't think he should come back into a winning team but it's not my choice, i hope for Anderson's sake, he's got this right!

Win tomorrow and we play them at Headingley.
Lose and it'll probably be 3rd place and a return to Hudds.'"
Leaving current form out of the equation, I reckon most fans would've settled for either outcome at the start of the season.

True, I reckon the fixture most would've wanted to avoid is away to Wigan which now looks slim (would require Wigan to draw and Hudds to win by 14)

Thank god for that.
I know we will have to beat them anyway IF and I do mean IF we go all the way but I wouldn't want to play them at the DW/JJB.

Anderson has a fixation with Ferres - Ferres is a time bomb waiting to go off he just needs some gentle prodding

Shame that there's nobody in this Leeds pack - with the possible exception of Ablett - with the kind of mentality needed to press his buttons now Aiton is out. While we've definitely replaced Bailey with better players, we've not got that edge and niggle down the middle any more IMO.

Perhaps but you also need to be keep a clear head when winding up opponents - Ferres often sees red when the tables are turned on him.

| Playing Sinfield if he's a long way from 100% fit is a very big risk for tonight's game and the semis if you win.

Clutching at straws, Father. Only a dead leg. And if he trained on it yesterday I don't see it being a problem in the semi.

I can't see him playing if he isn't. If he plays you can rest assured he is very close to, if not 100%. It was only a dead leg, so if he got through a couple of work out training sessions ok, he will play.
We will find out in a few hours.I think we will need him or it will be very tough for us tonight

| It was his kicking leg, wonder if that could be a deciding factor or if we could even see Lilley/Hardaker kick.

| To put tonight's matches into context:
Leeds are playing to win their second trophy of the season and another £100k in prize money and a home semi final against St Helens. A Leeds win secures all three objectives and they are the only club with their fate totally in their own hands.
Wigan can only win the LLS and the £100k and home semi against the Saints if we lose and they win or if they draw with Huddersfield beating us by less than 13 points. If Leeds win then Wigan can afford to lose to Cas and still claim the second home semi.
Huddersfield are playing for a chance of the LLS and the prize money and the home semi against Saints only if they beat Leeds and Cas beat Wigan or if Wigan draw and Leeds lose by more than 13 points
So each club has a lot to play for and goal kicking and the decisions by the officials could prove crucial. If ever there was a time for a Sinfield MOM performance then it is tonight. Huddersfield will be expecting the same from Brough so we must close him down.

I suddenly feel a lot more optimistic about the treble with Sinfield and Burrow playing. I also like the fact he is starting with the young fresh Singleton with Peacock and Delaney off the bench.... Leeds will win !!!!
Yes we will have the negative aspect of Burrow defending out wide, but I think McDermott has a plan to better share the workload of the forwards
Come on Leeds !!!

| Hudds lineup
Grix
McGillivary - Cudjoe - Wardle - Murphy
Brough - Ellis
Kopczak - Robinson - Huby
Ferres - Hughes
Ta'ai
Lawrence - Josh Johnson - Leeming - Daniel Smith
Strong starting lineup but not the strongest bench with Crabtree missing and Ferres' first game in a few months.

I'm feeling quite optimistic too. Straight away you know the bench will be better used this week as you know Peacock and Delaney won't be left sat on there for 50+ minutes and I think Lilley will get some time as it's Burrow's first match back.

If Wigan draw and Huddersfield win then they both are on 40 points so points difference will decide which is currently 13 in Wigan's Cavour.

| A million times better than the last three weeks.
Whatever happens in the next 40 mins, it's encouraging for the playoffs.
Stevie Ward defending more in the middle (taking up the hooker's absence) rather than right 2nd row was brilliant in his stint in defence. Ablett too looks like a different guy this week and Watkins also. Room for improvement when we've been close to their line, but Hudds defence has been very good to be fair.
Their try was very dubious, the one angle they only showed once looks like it hits his right hand, then his left hand through his legs.

I agree....I said some time ago they will let the LLS slip (of course I hope not) but go onto win the GF. Leeds are not at their best, but a huge improvement and looking much more promising/building nicely again for the run in
