Some real vitriol aimed at our soon to be double championship winning coach.

Thankfully, those people have no say in club matters.

I go on holiday in the morning so won't be able to witness their back tracking, it's a shame really.

An interesting continual pattern is blaming Smith for the squad he had (which won two championships) and Hetherington for the squad Bluey has.

Two weeks later he changed the course of the game

I'll hold my hand up and admit that at the time I couldn't understand why he'd been dropped. He was playing well and always willing to take the ball up... yes he had problems keeping hold of the ball but I don't remember it being as bad as it seems to be now (but that could be down to my poor memory).

I spoke to him a few times in the Long Bar after matches and always seemed a nice enough bloke.

But after a few matches I realised that Smith had dropped him for a reason and it had to be down to something in training or dressing room problems. Just the same that I accepted why coaches persisted with Cummins over Calderwood, with an early JJB, Toopi and Donald. The coach sees these players day in day out and knows how to work with them... we see them for 80 minutes once a week.

That's the long and short of it. We dont know what goes on behind the scenes so arent really qualified to judge.

That'll (almost) be me then.
I never gave Smiff any stick for it but I did stick up for Thackray.
Reason being that I loved his enthusiasm and go-forward attitude ... despite his propensity for dropping the bloody ball.

I have changed my mind now though with that little insight he has given us into his personality.
