| Leeds have enquires to Wigan on the availability of Scott Taylor. Wigan need to get him off their salary cap before end of November.

Interesting if true. I thought he was supposed to be going to Huddersfield though on loan before signing a long deal at Hull FC in 2016?
Also, IIRC weren't we supposed to be rumoured to be interested in signing Taylor when he was leaving Hull KR?
Not sure why he's fallen out of favour at Wigan and played so little as big things were expected of him when he first went to Wigan.
I'd be quite happy if this signing came off

| Whilst Yates may not amount to much, its good IMO that Leeds have effectively written off last year and given him the chance to try again.
Its interesting that the 'future of Leeds Rhinos front row' isn't on the list, despite his experience in NZ and with the Bulls. Is that because he's not as good as hoped, or because Leeds haven't held his hand enough?

Hopefully permanent and not a loan situation like Lunt. Taylor looked good at KR and again at Wigan. Would be a shame to have him come to us play good and then go somewhere else.

| Even I had to grin at GH's statement that the loss of "Ben Jones-Bishop, Chris Clarkson, Ryan Bailey and Ian Kirke" has been made up for by "Jimmy Keinhorst, Brad Singleton, Liam Sutcliffe and ...Adam Cuthbertson".
Both sides of his 'equation' are bizarre. In terms of the outs, BJB was hardly in the team last year except for rotation, Clarkson got dropped halfway through. In terms of the ins only Cuthbertson is new - Keinhorst will only play in the event of injury and Sutcliffe and Singleton played most games last year anyway.
Very odd wording.

He didn't so much fall out of favour ability/performance wise, more he expressed a desire to play for his boyhood club in Hull. If we got him it'd only be for a years loan until he went to the KC. A good enough move for us IMO even if it is only for a year.

The idea that this season's squad is better than last season defies any kind of logic - senior players are older, more outs than in, no significant youngsters knocking on the door!! Add to that no additions to the coaching set up to bring in some new ideas and it is probable stormy waters ahead.
This could be a watershed year for GH when the fans see through the BS and finally vote with their feet.

Agreed. its one thing spending only what you can afford ,but lack of squad strengthening especially the performances in the second half of the season and we finished 6th is just being stingy and it'll come back to bite you Mr Hetherington

The rumour goes that he/his partner is 'homesick' for Hull and wants to move back ASAP, Wane won't play anyone who isn't committed to the club. Wigan want a fee from Hull, Hull don't want to pay.

And now he's also being linked with going on loan to Salford.
Although quite what that achieves in terms of getting him closer to home...

I think what it achieves from Wigan's point of view is that he is off the cap.
Hull can't afford a fee so he'll have to go out on loan - and it's senseless to send him to Leeds who are a genuine threat to Wigan, instead send him to the soap opera that is Salford, a threat to nobody.
Meanwhile Scott can ponder on his own career for 12 months. Does he want to play for his country and win medals for a top team - or does he want to go to Hull?

| Gil Dudson is s***te. If he didn't play in the best pack in the league nobody would know who he was. He's a makeweight. We don't need one of those.

| Seems likely Taylor is joining Salford on a 12 month loan deal.
Would be yet another big miss for Leeds if true.
Let's hope we don't get Dudson.
Pretty amazing that we have left recruitment until now knowing we needed another prop.

Would rather have seen that six months ago, than another year for Kylie.
I'm happy the lad has the deal, and hopefully his coach can give a bit more faith in him now also.

| Glad he has signed a deal and its time for him to really step up next year now, he has got the experience under his belt and needs to show he can handle being a corner stone of the pack from 2016.

| Good news. Not the big new signing news we all want but good news none the less.
I like his heart and workrate. If Bailey or Kirke showed the same desire and effort they'd still be with us.

| Headingley have rung we twice chasing to see if i will be renewing my season ticket. I'm not aware of being chased for it before! All smelling a bit desperate!
BUT seeing as the big announcement is Singo signing a 4 year deal, I hope their ticket office is open early this morning......await the stampede!
Was thinking 2015 was a big year for Singleton, but with a 4 year deal in place, maybe it doesn't need to be.
