I don't know how it came across there mate but sky highlighted how many times he had receivers completely open and fluffed it!!

Yeah, his inability to hit the (wide) open man was what I meant when I said we blew loads. It seems to me like he doesn't like throwing down the middle but as we were blitzed quite a bit it just happened that's where the open man was. Stupid thing was he gave himself quite a bit of time with his footwork to make the pass but seemed to favor the marked receivers out wide. Anyway, I'd like to see Josh Freeman given an oportunity now. He was better than Sanchez in college and looked to have a better arm the Johnson last night. Give him a few games to get used to the speed and build arond him. We certaily have the talent with Sammie Stroughter, Antonio Bryant, Maurice Stovall and Kellen Winslow. Give him the 2nd half of the season and hit the floor running for next year. We can't really do much worse.

Another thing i didn't realise till last night was how young your squad is plus yer coach!!

I think your right about the QB that started last night though he just doesnt seem to have the arm on him to power the ball to the reciever and he seemed to telegraph the ball straight to the defense too often. He had the one good pass to the reciever for the TD but after that I cant remember him putting the ball down the field?

The young Wide Reciever Stroughter doesnt look too bad and if Winslow can get himself more into the game and Caddilac Williams stays injury free they look like they could have a good Offense in a few years.

What a comeback that was.

Indeed The Miami Defense is terrible this year although Drew Brees is an awesome QB up there if not the best IMO...

He's definately 1 of the best but For me it's T.Brady or Payton Manning.
Add to that Favre and Warner are still doing the job and would arguably be even better in better teams.

Brett Favre's funeral on Sunday.



The local radio station has hired a hurse, a coffin and a manikin which will be dressed in the Green Bay number 4 kit and helmet. People can go down and donate thier old Favre memrobilia and money at the service. It's a way for fans to finally get some closure on him



A nice gesture though, all money raised goes to the Deanna Favre Hope Foundation.

They're a bad, bad football team.

Some info on why (and it certainly isn't all about Campbell).

The defence is, yet again, the strength of the team. It ranks 5th in the league. There are still issues with it though. 3 INts and 7 total take-aways all year (last in the league). That means we're not giving our awful offense enough short field opportunities.

The offence is terrible. Truly the worst Skins offense I have ever seen. In 16 quarters played at home they've failed to score a TD in 13 of them. The 2 teams they've beaten are 0-7.

The line has allowed 23 sacks in 7 games. That's on course for 53 over the year. Campbell was sacked 21 times in 2007 and 38 in 2008. They're not opening any lanes for Portis either, who averaged 3.1 yards per carry against the Eagles. The line is very old and injury prone. Should the front office have been surprised that Samuels and Thomas were injured and lost for the year? No, they're old and have had injury issues in the past (especially Thomas). In reality, because they've neglected the line so criminally, the whole thing needs re-building.

To complete the trifecta, special teams aren't exactly helping. Antwaan fair-catch El averages 5 yards per punt return so he isn't putting the offense in good position at all. That is when he isn't fumbling the punts. Monday night the Redskins tried 3 different returners, same results.

So, there you have it. A team in dismay. A top quality defence that could do more to help, a completely inept offense whose problems all start on the O-Line and awful special teams. An inexperienced coach who has been stripped of the job he was brought to do, call plays, a new offensive coordinator who was a bingo caller a month ago and a criminal inept front office that is killing the team.

Right now, we may just be the worst team, top to bottom, in pro football. Luckily there's a bye week coming up. The best time to be a Redskin fan is when they're not playing.
