What an odd comment. He doesn't worry me, I don't have to defend against him. I'm sure he has the coaches of most opposing teams worried, I haven't seen anybody here deny his ability. I still agree that he isn't a full back, and if I were Wigan's coach I'd want him where he gets his hands on the ball as often as possible.

As for England, we don't actually have a full back who's brilliant in attack and defence, so we have to choose one or the other. I think, however, that Sam Tomkins will probably be at 6 for England in November.

Makes me laugh defending Bailey over the tomkins, I think sam is a little over rated due to I feel his strength but that will come and so will a Wigan victory this weekend

Sam is very good going forward of that i have no doubt, but if Eastwood gets the ball all he will have is stud marks from where he has run over him and i think Joel like Bailey can sometimes be a bit of a liability but teams need a player that will rub the opposing teams up the wrong way. Some games it works and some it doesn't but away fans love to h8 Big Bailey. lol

Ryan bailey is like an old style half back punch smallest man and run, he won't actually fight anyone big, I remember in 2004(I think maybe) when Micky platt had just come out of the army and was playing for Rochdale, he was round Leeds drinking and bailey and his 2 friends starting having ago at platt, he leathered all 3 I stood laughing was seriously funny, he ran off with his tail between his legs did good old Bailey, but he does wind other teams up that's the problem

I have to agree with the goons on this one unfortunately, Bailey is worse. He goes onto pitch trying to hurt people rather than playing rugby. If he concentrated on his rugby then he may vastly improve IMO. There's no doubt he could be a good player but is far too ill-disciplined and just generally a bit of a thug.

I agree with you that leon pryce is prone to stupidty and thuggish behaviour so i won't defend him.

Lee radford's record is fairly impeccable as far as i can see, yes he had a fight with bailey a couple of weeks ago but even the most quiet of players will occasionally get involved in a scrap. Rugby is a contact sport with a lot of adrenaline and passion, that will inevitably spill over.

Vila Matautia was a rough and occasionally dirty player, agreed.

However Bailey is in another league of thuggery, no other supporter of rugby league apart from a bias leeds fan would defend Bailey's actions that he seems to enjoy hurting people on a weekly basis. Bailey isn't feared, he's hated and despised, there's a difference. If you are too blind to see that he is dirty or too stubborn to admit it then that is your choice.

The number of posts i have on a forum does not represent my knowledge of the game or my ability to judge a person. I am in no way suggesting i am an 'expert' on rugby league and the people who play it. I am however a passionate supporter and player of rugby league and watch as many games I can. Whether that be SL, NRL or championship rugby. I have seen Bailey in action many times and i am not the only rugby league fan who shares this opinion, far from it.

As for your referal to the Faz then yes, Bailey did shoulder charge him in the face and break his nose. Well done to him if he wants plaudits, if you read my previous comment you will see i stated that Bailey does have potential to be a good player. He did however go missing the rest of the game avoiding taking hit ups whenever he could. He also picked up a mysterious injury before the next game we played against you which ruled him out.

Against Lee Radford, Bailey lay on the floor for a few seconds whilst some of your team surrounded Lee Radford and Hull FC players also got involved. Once most of the initial comotion was over Bailey got up and tried to headbutt one of the smallest men on the pitch in Sean Long. I think these actions showed Bailey's true colours in the cowardly bully that he is. He isn't interested if there's somebody bigger than him around.
