| When you consider the whole decade it's a pretty tough choice.
For the Rhinos i'd go for Sinfield but Senior is very very close imo.
As for the rest Peacock and Cunningham and i can't decide between the 2.

| Without any shadow of any doubt, Richie Spedding!
Case closed!
After him, to single out anyone player is tough. We have been privileged to watch players of the caliber of Burrow, Webb, McGuire, McDermott, Sinfield, Senior, Lauitiiti, Harris, Ellis, Peacock, and Morley all ply their trade at Headingley in their prime over the last 10 years, but would they have had the same impact in Superleague without the players around them who don't get the recognition like Furner, Ward, Walker, Mathers, Bailey, Ablett, Diskin, JJB, Donald, Hall, and Smith. The players towards the end of that list have have been mainstays in the side over the course of the recent successes!

| Toni Carroll for me. Some might be suprised but I was so exited knowing I was going to Headingley to watch him in action. Sensational payer. Sinfield 2nd and Keith in 3rd.
Overall I think it's probably Sculthorpe, such as dirty player but there's no doubting his skills.

No, but as arguably the most or second most successful team of the decade then to choose a Saints player isn't off the wall.
This is not serious just a bit of fun so lighten up eh?

What about the overall non-leeds SL player of the noughties?
Not just Saints, who would that be?
If TVOC was on here he'd be able to tell us which team was the most successful over the decade.

| FWIW in the absence of TVOC I've analysed the dream teams from 2000 to 2009.
On that basis JP is the player of the decade with 8 nominations - 5 SR, 3 at prop- followed by KC with 6.
Sinfield & Senior have 4
4 - Farrell, 3 at L-F, 1 at prop.
3 - Radlinski, Wellens, Lam, Burrow, Fielden, O'Connor, Sculthorpe.
On that basis JP has to be overall MVP.

| Its an hard one between JP, Keith Senior, Kevin Sinfield and Kieran Cunningham.
Personally I’d have to say Jamie Peacock. He’s been consistent were it matters all decade long. In second place I’d have joint Kevin Sinfield and Kieran Cunningham followed with Keith Senior in third place.

| For consistent performance throughout the decade, Senior is a clear cut winner, for Leeds. For all of SL, close between Senior and KC.

| For Leeds my first thought was Sinfield. But after a bit of thought I am going for Rob Burrow. Was close but Burrow edges it for me.
SL player for me, Big Les. Was the first player to be looked for on the Bradford teamsheet whenever we played them and never let the fans down. Always remember when Burrow got hurt and Les was the first on the scene doing what he could to help. Waste in RU.

that's true but did he really do enough, despite Saints fans considering him the second coming of Christ, in 2 seasons to be classed as player of the decade? Not for me he didn't.

Yep, if it's player of the decade, we need to look at all ten years, which is why I have Senior ahead of Sinfield.

Me too. I thought long and hard about Sinfield and his Harry Sunderland and Lance Todd weighed heavily but I just think that Sinfield's emergence really came in 2003 and Senior had already put in 2 seasons of quality already at the start of the decade.
That said, I wouldn't take much convincing that Sinfield or Cunningham were equally as deserving.
