I've yet to see any evidence of him not developing at Quins - he's in the 17 every week when fit and has an ideal coach to both develop his game as a front row forward and as a professional on and off the field.
Being at Salford similarly doesn't seem to be hampering Richie Myler's development or representative oppportunities.
The biggest indicator towards a player's development IMO is not the quality he plays with, but the quality of coaching he receives.

With the anti-tamper deadline still months away there would be little chance of us announcing it yet even if we did sign him. I think its clear that another forward is needed, as I think that is where the root of our problems has been this season

| I think 2 years is a strange one, when looked at in combination with his form/matchtime this season.

agree with plenty of that but i think it is important for these lads to play in the biggest games we have(the bigger play off games and the gf). as we dont have an origin style comp or a tough test mid season, these players dont really get a chance to play high level intence rugby.
eg purdham looked a bag of nerves and out of his depth in the semi final of the WC! and for mine was probably the worst player in that game and that took some doing. he's normally on the beach by mid september. he has little chance to play in anything like a big game season on season.
i realise other players were crap for england in the WC and playing in a GF doesnt make you a great player but i think lads like myler and scarsbrook need to be playing in the biggest games to become the best they can.

Concentration of top players in a small number of clubs doesn't seem to have harmed Chavball - are we better at international level than we were when Wigan dominated the game?
No

And how is extending the contract of another geriatric going to help Leeds?

I don't think you can assume a kid from Lewisham has a burning desire to live in West Yorkshire, so he may have no wish to come here. I'd imagine he would be pretty happy with the coaching he is getting from Brian McDermott as well.

Which one is 'Adam Rhinos/Kallum Watkins left boot' these days?
Didn't he confidently predict that Smith had player his last game for Leeds while he was out injured?
Memories fading fast.

| Its a poor deal at 2.5 years, not sure a guy that plays 20 mins every week at 31 years of age is going to contribute much more at 33 years old.
Another GH insult the fans call, my god offering Diskin a five year deal would be the only equivilent in stupidity, oh hang on...............done that already.
Ok
I go with offering a softcock winger who turns his back in the ultimate act of cowerdice on a Rugby Field, oh hang on.....................done that as well.
Next thing they will put the prices up at Headingley for standing on a terrace with no cover, erm, you get my point!!

| Personally I think the worst contract extensions Leeds have committed recently was for Burrow & McGuire's to expire at the same time. There should have been a year apart. Probably McGuire a year more as he seems more stable whereas Burrow could lose pace and if head injuries persist there could be problems. Not saying they shouldn't both have long contracts but to possibly lose both half backs at the end of one season would be a huge blow and that year will be make or break in terms of do we kick on from there and continue to be a success or do we fall away a bit for a few years, like Wigan.

So all the points above are wrong then are they?
Why dont you put a more solid argument together? Do you agree Kylie should have got a 2.5 year contract?
Diskin 5 years?
Donald on form, he's only had one goos season FFS!!
PS
I will watch who I want thanks, unless the red tones of the communist USSR have appeared outside my window this morning....................

I believe that it was due to how driving offences were reclassified under the new rules. They are now in the process of being changed. Typical of immigration red tape and bureaucracy.
<insert> the were reclassified just to stop NRL stars coming to the UK. The rules will be changed to allow AB's come over in the winter. <end>

It's not a major concern for the forseeable future though is it?
A lot can happen between now and the end of 2013.

what justification? what garb?
the coach, who has a pretty decent recored upto now, decides kylie is worth a 2.5 year deal. he see's him in training every day so he is a better position to decide than either you or me petal.
unless you know better of course
