Bailey did nowt wrong IMO. He may have known he was hitting Radford's head with his elbow, he may not have. My personal opinion is he may have had a vague idea but I don't think you can be sure.

BUT that happens in lots and lots of PTBs across a game and you just can't react like Radford did. Clear red card and he let his team down.

Whether RB should be congratulated for suckering in players through cheap tricks (as some Leeds fans seem to be suggest he did and are congratulating him for) is another matter. It's all a bit "soccer" for me and I'd rather believe that wasn't his agenda.

I think Bailey's agenda was to win the penalty for being held down rather than invite a pummelling and a potential red card for an opposition player.

It's no more gamesmanship than the player trying to slow the play the ball down in the first place.

Depends on whether he meant to elbow him in the head a few times I suppose. If he was just wrestling to get up without intent then I fully agree.

I think if he was deliberately trying to elbow him he would of hammered his arm up and down on his bonce rather than the "funky chicken" motion he was doing with his arm.

I think with regards to Bailey's struggle to regain his feet and the use of the elbow it was only the final one (of the several) that Radford would have felt or particularly noticed. Proving Bailey was doing anything untoward would be fairly difficult.

Very true. To inflict damage from that position he'd have had to really swung back the arm a lot harder than he did.

my personal opinion is that Bailey was doing what most sl players do when trying to regain his feet for a quick ptb and caught radders probably unintentionally, radders reaction was poor but personally would have given a yellow. I think the cut to Bailey was from a clash of heads at the tackle made before the incident happened.

I also think Bailey should have been sent off for the attempted head butt on Sean Long but no one appears to have seen that, and the ref was only a metre away.

Feel free to have your digs but i'm not a fan of either club, its just how i saw it and haven't had the usual digs like some do on other teams boards.

I think the Hull game plan from the start was for the game to explode, and they had targeted Bailey specifically for that. Lets not forget that as Radford made that tackle, Fitzgibbon had swung an head high tackle at him that missed, and they got away with many more than that throughout the game.

I don't think Bailey intentionally did anything, and I find it silly for posters to say he suckered Radford in. The flinging about was what you see in most tackles where the tackled player wants a quick play the ball.

I just think Radford used this as an excuse and genuinly thought he could get away with it. But then again in that situation I would be surprised if any player is counting his punches as he does it. Had he just thrown the one, I doubt it would have been anymore than a penatly.
