Well after 77 mins JP was taken off as the game had gone.
Flogged!!
I'd have taken JP off and played with 12....
or thrown Webb back on.

| Hauraki is what I'd like to call a 'Paul Harkin' signing. The sort of signing we were used to in the late 80's, early 90's. Played a couple of half decent games against us, so we sign him up.
As for Webb, unfortunately this season his negatives have outwieghed his positive contributions (although that could be said for a number of our players). His errors and ridiculous penalties do seen to be a catalyst for the rest of the team to go into 'petulant brat' mode, rather than focussing on the rugby. JJB for all his endeavour is another who at the moment needs to take a look at his performances/stupid penalties and the effect he is having on those around him.

No finer sight than watching Ali play rugby. I cheered louder for him at the Wakey leeds game at Headingley than I did many of the Leeds player.

Had some luck at Wakefield that he didnt at Leeds regarding his fitness.
Trinity have also done well to get the best out of Tim Smith, and Paul Aiton has looked a good signing too. Think Wakefield as a club have really succeeded under the licencing programme, but thats another matter.

| It does seem that the Leeds coaching staff consider Peacock, Kylie, Moore and Kirke [uall[/u offer more long term options than Amor does
Looks like he stays a Wakefield player.

| This is a no brainer now for Amor. We've messed him about for 2 years and now seemingley cannot make a decision on him so we let him choose. Only 1 decision he will make now, stay at the team that have given him a proper chance in SL and where he's enjoying his Rugby. Why would he turn that down to return to us and join the back of the prop queue.
Smacks of indecision to me this.
Surely we and Wakey need to know now what is going to happen as surely it effects both clubs possible retention and signing off other players for next season?
A bit of a 'what if' but IF we really are interested in Taylor from Hull KR then surely we need to know NOW whether we've got Amor for next season to decide whether to bring Taylor in or not (assuming there's only room for 1 of them and not both)

| Lets not make assumptions here, for all we know Amor may have requested this so he can see the season out with Wakefield before switching to Leeds. Or it could be that Leeds wanted to recall him but Wakefield negotiated this option. Maybe Leeds haven't got the cap space right now but may have by next season.
We just don't know.

He was always there for the full season, regardless of what decision was made. We know that.
The agreement was Leeds had to let the player and Wakefield know they wanted him for next season by midnight on the 31st July. He was always going to be at Wakefield for the remainder of this season though.

Obviously they don't .... Either 'the sleeve' has something up his sleeve or the club has discovered the elixer of life to allow Peacock, Kylie, Moore etc to continue on forever
if it was some technically of cap space until the end of THIS season, it would not stop the club announcing its intention of taking him back he start of next season if he was in their long term plans.

Cap space? We haven't replaced the salaries of Buderus, Senior and Lauititi yet. Also Smith has just gone and Webb will be gone next year. Also the deal wasn't to bring Amor back right now.
That said, perhaps the deal is contingent on us offloading Kirke or Moore for next season, or Leuluai doing a Scott Donald, because we've got a couple of blockbuster deals in the pipeline that will take us towards full cap for next year if they come off

You're right. He was never coming back to us this year. yesterday was simply the deadline for us stating whether we wanted him next year or not.
All this means is they've extended the deadline until the end of the year and are going to let Kyle commit to which club he wants to play for. Makes sense, why force a player to come back if his heart is elsewhere.
That said, leeds should want Kyle back and they should be convincing him to come back. If I were were I'd want some assurances about where I fit in the prop rotation and from what I've seen he'd certainly be one of Leeds first choice props.

Pretty much spot on. You'd expect them to want him to stay, and let him know.
Of course, this will probably have all been carried out behind closed doors, so he could well be coming back, and the news being held back for a 'rainy day'

The assurances he may seek could be financial. And if this is the case, it's a shrewd move by the club. He's not available to play for clubs other than us or Wakey so presumably any improved contract awarded on the basis of his progression will only need to exceed whatever Wakey, a club alleged to be spending below the cap, can offer which would render us the more attractive financial option. As you point out, he could, quite feasibly, be playing as a frontline prop at a top club next year. And on not much more than wakey would be paying him. Of course it's possible that his loyalties lie with Wakey and we might lose him but this isn't a scenario that's fazed Hetherington in the past.
It could be imagination on my part but don't must of our loaned-out players end up at clubs spending well below the cap?

| The balls in Amor's court. Decision lies with him.
At Wakie he has the assurance of playing week-in week-out.
If he re-joins us not the case.
For him to make that decision he would probably need to know how he would be judged in Leeds 2013 pecking order.
Will be intresting to see how he plays it. If he does come back and doesn't get the game time I can see Leeds releasing him to secure game time.
