teams that make loads of changes rarely do well as it takes a while to gel and bradford might be a genuine force come the play offs
we are lucky that when we get everyone fit very few players are automatic choices to start, with delaney and senior able to double up in the pack we now have genuine options for probably 10 of the 13 spots should anyone suffer a dip in form

Kirke being asked to do a job he's totally unsuited for (and his comments showing he is totally half-hearted towards doing it) is not a promising start.

I thought it was great to see Chev out on the pitch looking none the worse for his potentially career threatening injury.

I agree with tvoc, that article (I saw it at the time) seemed to state quite categorically to me, that Kirke had been told he was playing prop, and was very unimpressed with the prospect. I got the impression it was an "I'd rather crawl over broken glass with my flies undone" comment, but on reflection I don't think he'd have the bottle...

I'm not sure about that. Even when Hull were going into the lead, Hull KR stuck to their game plan and refused to panic. I think it's unfair to say Hull ran out of gas, I didn't think they were playing that well.

Kirke is very poor and is a waste of a bench space IMO. I think at times we were just rusty and in a few months some of the loose passes and balls going to ground will stick. One major positive I thought was ALI. He looked very fit, don't remember him being as fast running as he did against Bradford

The concern about Ali has to be that he started the game with a small bandage just below his right knee & ended it with a considerably larger one on his right thigh.

I didn't notice the first bandage but did see his right thigh strapped up. Just hope he can stay relitivley injury free as he did look like a different player.

It wasn't so much a bandage as tape strapping just under his knee.

Does anyone know the extent of Ali's 'head injury'?

I heard somewhere that he had a badly cut lip. Is this true or has BM brought some of the Union blood capsules up with him?

Ali's lip was a right mess at the end of the game last week, and I am not surprised he will be missing. He must have needed stitches, but also got a bang on the leg so not worth risking further injury.

If having a 'fat lip' qualifies as a game missing injury these days it doesn't bode well.

Agreed, but I suspect there was damage other than a 'fat lip'. Ali has had a rough time with injuries over the last couple of years, but is a gamebreaker when fit, so we need to get (and keep) him fit. IMHO it's pointless playing him when he is not right, and we have ample others to fill in, saving him from injury that would rule him out for longer.
