Doves at Cockpit in December was the best

saw The Cribs at the Academy who were quality

saw Armin Van Buuren DJ at Gatecrasher which was something else

Oasis, Kasabian & Rev and the makers at Heaton Park in Manchester, that was bonkers

Calivn Harris at Bingley Music Festival got one of the best reactions from a crowd I have seen in ages

Wish I had seen the Manics and Tegan & Sara

Which bit is David Essex, is he the artillery man?

Yes, his song is perhpas the most terrible bit of the whole album but reading the Wiki report on Jeff Wayne he was one of the producers of Essex's first album "Rock On", so talent may not have come into it

I've spent the afternoon watching the snow, thankful I no longer have to struggle through it to get to work, listening to:

It's not what you know eh, personally i think the parsons song is the worst, but your right the 2nd half is nowhere near as good as the 1st, apart from the ending section.

The Who performance appears to be a TOTP one as they are using the single version of Won't Get Fooled Again and are definitely miming - The Faces on the other hand are on a Sounds on Saturday performance that I remember watching live



Of those two opening acts, three musicians are now dead but unusually for rock bands, only one of them through the influence of drugs/alcohol.
