Leeds out of the blue released Bailey and Kirke has gone. No high strategy here. Clarkson though a decision was made early for him to spend the season at Widnes.

Now with only Cuthbo in, Leeds who finished 6th in 2014 look a much weaker squad for 2015....so far.

Losing out on Mossop is a blow somewhat as we need some size in that pack. Leeds need to bring someone in as the squad isn't competitive enough as it stands. So it will take a premier signing to swing the balance back the right way. But I just can't see it.

What other reasons?

A Disagreement of Work Schedule.

One more quality prop and i would be feeling quite optimistic for next season. Problem is i don't see us being able to get anyone of sufficient quality at this late stage.Teams have pretty much finalised squads and are in pre season training.Unless GH has someone lined up unknown to us yet then we may be left with dregs or nothing.Like i said earlier, i am glad the young lads will get a good shot next year but we run the risk of being battered up front by the better teams if any of JP,Kylie or Cuthbertson pick up long term injury.

I think it was right time for Bailey and Kirke to leave , but I also thought replacements were imminent.Bailey it did look for awhile that Mac was not happy with him when he said ' he wasn't ill he wasn't selected' missed training ,unauthorized absence in industry .So it looks like he was told he was leaving

Kirke and Bailey offered nothing other than a blockage to first team opportunities for Singleton, Mulhern and Baldwinson.

Even if nobody is signed I see this as addition by subtraction.

I agree. Not too disappointed in missing out on Mossop, would rather give the academy lads a run. Wigan were in this predicament a few seasons ago and they've done alright.

I don't need to check any sources mate. To be honest I do not have sources, I find that sort of thing a bit cheesy. Nor am I looking to get one up on anyone else.

What I do know is that I have posted on here quite a few times that Bailey is going at the end of the season, and has been informed of it. And low and behold, what happened.

How many games have Kylie and JP got in them? 20 each? This along with injuries which are part and parcel mean we're basically banking on two of the back-ups to play at a high level and keep getting the wins when the seniors need a break or recover from injury. Its going to be a long season.

What's happened to Alex Foster !

We're going to have to see if the likes of Mulhern, Baldwinson and Yates are good enough at some point. Whilst it's not ideal in terms of proven quality we do have some depth there, and the youngsters could turn out to be the real deal.

No point having an argument. The current Leeds Player who told me was quite specific about what happened. It was a falling out and they parted company. Simple as that.

Let's not forget to factor in Leeds having to replace Aiton. (which is still possible)

I must say I was one of those glad to see the shipping out of Bailey and Kirke who last season were only ineffectively standing in the way of the likes of Singleton and Mulhern getting more valuable experience....but as others have stated to not have at least secured the services of at least one experienced decent replacment is disconcerting, especially when it was already perhaps one season too far for Peacock and certainly for Kylie !!!

Are we seeing the begining of the end of good team/club management? It certainly seems that way

There seems to be a distinct lack of foresight at Leeds at the moment: 2 frontline pensioner props with Burrow as frontline 80 mins hooker is a pretty scary prospect for 2015
