Seriously though, that is not the physique of a professional athlete. I know George Rose in the NRL is a pudding, but that's his body type - Bailey has never previously been so podgy - it's all about his attitude.

While it must be difficult to maintain your professionalism when your career is clearly on the decline. it's disappointing Bailey hasn't been able to keep up even the mediocre standards he set for himself at the back end of his Leeds career.

He must be a lazy lad just a bit of effort in his testimonial and it could have been ok.He has helped out in other players testimonial I'm sure they would have mucked in too .It must be down to a lazy couldn't care less attitude .He couldn't even turn up Boxing Day to collect his fair well from the club. I give Kirke his due for that

I don't think there's ever been a question mark over Kirke's professionalism, I think it's (partly) that that got him into the squad so often.

You're right though it seemed like his testimonial was too much effort for Bailey, there didn't seem to be any effort or thought put into it. And his apparent attitude since signing for Hull KR stinks. He should've seen it as the biggest challenge of his career. His opportunity to become a number 1 prop in a team. An opportunity to lead.

But it appears that would've been too much effort too. It's easier to just sack it off. If he's not careful he'll end up down the leagues in short order.

He'll be working on the doors soon if not already

Hope he's got plenty of back up.

He won't be a shoo-in. Lee Radford may well be touting his services in the not too distant.

Kirks was playing for the opposition that day though......though I reckon he would've turned up regardless because for all his shortcomings on the field, he always seemed to be a good professional guy.

As for Bailey, it also shows up HKR in a bad light. He obviously was never the model professional during his time at Leeds but we still managed to have him out there come GF's and CCF's playing his part and looking in shape for 10 years. A couple of months at HKR and he looks like George Rose's twin brother from a black mother and rumours of letting him go after 4 rounds.

I have noticed in one of the RL weeklies that Ali has been granted 3 month testimonial .Its in the summer months which means he won't be able to stage a game and will have to put a big effort in to make it a success.I hope it goes well for him

Most Queens players would be able to break a tackle. Think KR are having a word with security at Space for his replacement.

Take it he will be stopping off at last chance saloon, AKA Wakefield.

I get the feeling judging by the tone of that statement he may not be stopping off anywhere.

Don't know the ins and outs, but it sounds like personal issues that are much bigger than where he plays his rugby.

Certainly no favourite of mine, but hope things are not too serious for him
