I'm only repeating what was stated earlier in the thread and as it was never validated (or contradicted) by an administrator I've no idea, only being a 'newbie' in this prediction malarky.

Hopie has now contradicted the proposition from his position of regular entrant.

Until an administrator speaks then I'm just an interested onlooker, just as I will be for the Play-Off series to follow.

If he is then the cut off looks like it's going to be 149 with one game to go (on the assumption that =#FF0000Craigloiner, =#FF0000steve slippery morris and =#FF0000Gotcha still aren't sponsors?) in which case a correct prediction and margin from any of Hopie, EmmaMur01 or ennjay could yet see them hit 149. But as Hopie and ennjay are both going for Salford the same as rhinos 69 they can't make the 8 as the mark would then move to 150. Only EmmaMur01 can hit 149 and it still be the target number although Wakefield have to win by 10 for that to happen.

(As I say though that whole scenario depends on Number 2 being a sponsor and the other 3 named in red not being...... I think)

I think this might be case of co-ordination between Frosties and our webmaster to cross-check any queries about sponsorship payment of participants.

I did state in a earlier post i didnt realise what i had to do a sponsor and just thought it was a bit of fun, i did say i would pull out but someone said i should just keep doing it for a laugh, so im not bothered what happens to me and count me out of it, many thanks for working out my scores though really appreciate it!!

After a preliminary count up from this week's games it's looking like:

JMT (3icon_cool.gif, Highbury Rhino (53), Old Feller (79) assuming no penalty imposed for a late entry, Rhino 46 (64), LFCRhino (30) and FoxyRhino (13) are all in the top 8.

The other two places are then between:

Craigloiner (notwithstanding his above comment), Number 2, rhinos 69 (65), steve slippery morris, Gotcha and finally Hopie (25) tied with ennjay (17) should two before them on the list not qualify.

All preliminary (guesswork) you understand.

I know it's probably a bit late for the info but there's been a sticky thread on the forum all year round about sponsorship plus a link on the front page on the left hand side.

I'm pretty sure Number 2 is a sponsor if I think he is who I think he is (the former Oldham Rhino)

That was always my suspicion but I'd not seen it confirmed anywhere so was never 100% sure. If so I guess he's sponsor (67) then.

Don't suppose you have my score and final standing do you mate?

Sorry fellas, I did a complete scan after the Saturday fixtures but have only checked those named above after the Salford game at this point.

I'll have a proper look sometime tomorrow (along with the last Opta update for the season) and post back here when I have them. That's if Frosties doesn't beat me to it .... well you never know.

I'm sure many won't bother saying it but I imagine they are all thinking it.

Especially those that benefited from an extra point here or there although not so much those that lost a few.

It's never easy trying to stay error-free when doing this type of thing so a second pair of eyes is always useful.

I agree it's not easy being the one who has the pressure of publishing and having their efforts scrutinised.

I'm sure Frosties would have preferred it if I hadn't taken an interest but tough if that was the case. Although I haven't gone to press these last three weeks I'm still here. He's been pretty reasonable and the few errors haven't yet impacted on the top eight.

That said there was an anomaly on last week's table but I'm waiting to see the final table (it looked like an inputting error on the thread to me) and the format for the Play-Offs before deciding whether to flag it up or not.

I thought you'd still be celebrating your victory in the Jutland Cup/Trophy (sorry I've forgotten the precise title) this morning. Never had you down as a lightweight.

I haven't rubbed it in enough yet have i? I'm just waiting for the receipt to be given to me for the donation into justgiving. Technically won it by 6 (if i'm correct) but he'll claim it was a draw as he left out his predictions in weeks one (where i claimed 4 points) and recently (where IIRC i claimed 2 more points than him)

The cut off point for the sponsor top 8 and play-offs appears to be 150

Assuming 'Number 2' is a sponsor and 'steve slippery morris' isn't and with Craigloiner ruling himself ineligible it appears we will have our eight for the Play-Offs without any complications.
